El Rey farms is not an actual farm. At least not here it isn't. This address is a house and they only take orders for New Mexico chili 4 weekends out of the year. The last 2 in August and the first 2 in September. Order every year and the quality is always great. This year the chili's were dried out and obviously sitting around awhile. And I usually have them roasted but opted out due the extremely long lines. I roasted them at home on my bbq and found alot of them to be rotted, broken or damaged. If I had roasted them there I would have never seen the rotted ones and would have eaten them. Not good! The quality from 2021 were not as good as I had in the past. The amount of red wrinkled ones was about 30% of the bag. Many damaged green ones also.
