Wings Etc. — Restaurant in La Porte

The service was nice and kind. Waitress kept checking on me. To note, they weren't busy at the time. I ordered the pepper fire chicken sandwich and was brought the pepper fire burger instead. The waitress offered to take it back and to get me what I actually ordered but I kept the burger to try later and asked to still receive my actual order. I don't like to waste food. Today, Monday, they have a 99 cent wing special. I got the bone in Asian kick which tastes great and was saucey and Nashville hot which the spice kicks in later but these wings were dry. I got the pepper fire chicken sandwich. It was a nice size and could be great but it was dry also. I like my wings/chicken saucey so make sure you ask for that if you like it that way too. Upon receipt I looked to see if the burger was comped and it wasn't. I didn't ask it to be. I kept it so that's fine. Just putting that out there for the information. I have visited this place a few times before deciding to leave a review. I can honestly say I think there’s two different experiences depending on if you sit on the bar side or the restaurant side. Sitting on the bar side, service is consistently fast and friendly. Sitting on the restaurant side for the first time today, the waitress gave me a weird look and remark when I ordered the spiciest wing sauce they had. As for the food, the wing quality is insanely good. They’re large and very flavorful. However, others at my table ordered other entrees such as Mac and cheese and fries. You get about a cup of Mac and cheese for the price. A “full” order of fries someone can eat by themselves… needless to say portions are pretty small for the price. Again, this applies to everything but the wings . If we go back, we will definitely sit on the bar side where service is more professional and efficient. Overall, good food and...

I went on a Saturday during lunch time. The chicken was severely over cooked on both my husbands sandwich and his brothers. My burger tasted good- however again- severely over cooked. Probably would never go again honestly unless things changed tremendously with the quality.

However- not only was the food just hard and overly cooked; but the service just wasn’t it.

We got seated immediately- however we didn’t talk to a waitress until 10-15 minutes later. Then half the things on the menu weren’t available. ON TOP of that- both chicken sandwiches came with ranch. Didn’t get it when it came to the table. When we went to ask- they told us it was extra on top of the waitress kinda arguing about it. LOL- even though it’s on the menu it’s listed it comes with it. But the excuse we kept getting was “well it’s just a franchise”. Huh? Just off feeling.
