We’ve had great experiences at other locations, but unfortunately, this one was a disappointment. Overall 3/5 stars—the caramel apples were good, but the service and organization left a lot to be desired.
Food 5/5 The caramel apples themselves were tasty! We had the apple pie apple and another variety with chocolate and peanut butter. They also cut them for us, which made them easy to enjoy!
Service 2/5 This is where things really fell short. Despite being the only customers in the store for a while, we weren’t acknowledged at all while standing at the chocolate counter. We actually had to be the ones to greet the employees and ask for help with the apples.
The bigger issue was that the staff didn’t seem familiar with their own promotions. There was a large sign advertising Buy 3, Get 1 Free on caramel apples, which is exactly why we bought four. When we were charged full price, we had to ask about the deal. The employee seemed surprised, even asking if the sign was still out. After confirming that it was, he adjusted the price but didn’t offer any kind of acknowledgment or apology.
Then the other employee had a hard time assembling the to-go box. We were eventually handed a box of apples with an open lid and a ripped handle, along with the statement: "I don’t think that’s how the box is supposed to go, but I can’t get it closed." We waited until we left to fold the tabs together properly so as not to embarrass him, it was obviously something he had never been shown how to do.
Atmosphere 2/5 One thing that stood out (for the wrong reasons) was the number of handwritten signs scattered around, letting customers know what they were out of—important things like milk, which meant milkshakes weren’t available. Given that there's literally a Costco next door, this seemed like an easily solvable issue for management that was engaged with operations.
The apples were good, but the lack of training, awareness, and basic customer service really hurt this visit. It feels like a management issue more than anything, and hopefully, they can...
Read moreMy family just left osakas from dinner we walked next door to coldstone for some ice-cream. @7:30 pm 4/27 ( we did the same thing last time we had dinner there) 3 of my family members ordered then I was my turn. I asked for a milkshake the young lady turnd to a fellow employee next to her and ask him about the shakes. She turnd to me and said "sorry we are not doing shakes right now is there anything else I can get you" The same thing happened last time swell ( wasn't serving shakes) I told her no thanks and I told my sone to order.... I moved to the register cuz I was paying... as i approached I over heard an employee say " well what are they going to do about it" my attention was all his at this point.. I wasn't sure if that comment was towards my shake request.. the other employee ( girl) he was talking to said " ok Marcus we need to stay positive here!" and sure enough a few more words from him " I don't care it just takes to long to make shakes" ..at this point my wife asked me if I was okay because she seem smoke coming from my ears... I told her I'm kinda upset this guy literally just said he don't wanna make shakes because they take to long... and I spoke loud enough Marcus heard what I said . And now knows I know what he said... I paid for my family's ice cream and I left... well Marcus here is what iam doing about it bud. I'm leaving a review at this stores location maybe the manager will see this and maybe give you some more training on customer service. Or training on doing your job in general Scooping ice cream isn't hard. Neither is making a milk shake. The girls and one other gentleman was very helpful and serving fast. Marcus was horrible and my family won't be back to...
Read moreI came into tonight with the bestie and we enjoyed some custom creations. I made a Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake Ice Cream with Golden Oreos and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups for mine. Oh my goodness was it worth every delicious bite! Prices are always worth it here when you get premium ice cream. Staff is always friendly when they help create your own wild creations! Have fun mixing and matching here because there’s no way to go wrong. I always appreciate that they have Non-Dairy options available now! Of course you can’t come in without taking something from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory home for later, if you can wait that long. We picked up some Milk Chocolate Pecan Bears, and always make sure they are chilled before enjoying their decadent deliciousness. Overall we always love coming here, it’s always super clean inside and there are plenty of napkins to help make sure your tasty creation doesn’t go everywhere. Can’t wait to come back on another hot day again and create something delicious again or maybe I’ll go for their signature creations, it’s always such a hard choice but everything is always delicious. Come back often, they always have something new and...
