7/21/23, checked out at 7:30pm, ordered around 6:50pm. It was reasonably busy, but not full, and our waitress was very nice. After 20 minutes or so we realized that people we watched sit down were getting their food, so we asked our waitress for an update, and she said everything was fine, the kitchen was just taking a long time. Okay, fine. Meanwhile, we have a movie starting at 8. We eventually get our food at 7:30, and I handed my card over to check out so we could take our food into the theater. But when I touched my food, it was cold. So I let the waitress know, she takes it back to the kitchen, then comes back to tell me that I either have to wait at the table for it to come out again (who knows how long that will take??) Or they can cancel my order and I can reorder it in the theater. So now I have to wait however much longer for my dinner, and I can't enjoy popcorn with my movie like I'd planned. My friend asked for the manager because we felt like our table had been mishandled. The manager came over and immediately says, "Who's paying? Are you all together?" Um, what? I told her I was, then she asked what I want. I explain that our food took a really long time, and she tells me, very defensively, that they're serving over 600 people, so what? Honestly, I wasn't really upset until this point. I told her that we'd sat and watched other tables around us get seated, get food, eat and pay before we got our food, then get served cold food. That isn't good service. She offered to take 1 more meal off, I said okay, and she left. I absolutely cannot believe that person is a manager. I felt so insulted on top of our poor experience. I will not be back to this...
Read moreMy office staff and I went there for lunch because we were at the Embassy for a convention. It was very sad for the emoyees. There was only 1 bartender, 1 waiter and 2 kitchen staff during the lunch hour. Several other of my colleagues also took their staff there for lunch and some even called ahead to warn them of the group sizes coming. We all had about a 90-110 minute lunch break and there were about 30- 35 people in the restaurant. It took 20 minutes to get water. Took an hour to get a beer (which we watched get poured and.left sat for 10 minutes with inky part.of the drink order.filled at a time because the bartender had to go help waiter bring out food to another table) and about 90 minutes to get food for my table. One other table with a party of 10 never received water and 2 of their pizzas that came out wetr burnt black (unrecognizable what it should have been or what the toppings were) and they still brought them out. The other table with a party of 15 did get water and a couple beers but it took 90 minutes. Despite all that chaos the food we received was delishious. We would have loved to have gotten a 2nd beer, but that would have been an impossible task as understaffed as they were and the staff that was there was soooooo slow and unorganized. I hope the management team...
Read moreSwung by on my way to a friend's place - we met up here at their suggestion. Got there earlier in the evening before what I felt would have been a dinner rush time. Walked in from the theater side (friends wanted to show that off) - freaking HUGE Death Star hanging in the middle was hard to miss it.
Walked through the bar area - stopped to get drinks and asked if we could be seated in the other area - they said they'd send someone to seat us. So we chilled for about a minute with our drinks - then this VERY exuberant gal comes out to seat us. We made a few comments in compliments to her enthusiasm and she laughed about it. I made a few comments about the Star Wars stuff "hidden" around the place - that brought up some fun stories.
Anyway - the rest is TLDR type - but we had good service, the food was great - I had the fried pickles (it is a very bad habit, I do highly recommend it sparingly) and then the "Adult" grilled cheese - though I had a different name for it which they said could not replace the menu name, oh well. OH...and almost forgot...GUMMY BEARS!
THANKS ALL - now I cannot wait to visit my friends more often (oh yeah, and I am from MN - so you can...
