Our experience at Hurrdat in La Vista this weekend was by far, the worst experience in a restaurant in my life. Our group called the restaurant early that morning to let them know that we would be there around 7pm, and that there would be 30-35 of us. Our group did arrive at 7pm, were seated promptly, and had our orders taken fairly quickly. Our food arrived in a decent amount of time, but that is where the "good" ended. While announcing orders, so that they people bringing the food out could give them to the right people, many "ghost" orders were announced as well. From side salads to appetizers and everything in between, the confusion was clear from the wait staff. We endured, even though it took another 15-20 minutes for everyone to get their food. The food was not that good, but we ate what we could. Once we were done, and the checks needed, the confusion by the waitress was clear. She couldn't read her own writing on her tickets, so she decided to go to each "group" to ask what they ordered again, so that she could get them their bill. Once done with a group, she would not take payment, and told us that we would have to wait until each and every group had their tickets before paying. After 45 minutes of this, an apparent "manager" showed up, only to make things even worse. The "manager" confronted one of the people in our group, because the ticket for her stated that she had a salad and some shrimp appetizer. The manager asked, very rudely, what kind of salad the customer had. Clearly, after over an hour and a half of waiting, the customer couldn't remember exactly which salad she had, she said she just had a plain salad, and showed her plate to the "manager" in hopes that she would be able to tell. Instead of being polite, the manager stated "We don't have plain salads on our menu." She then rattled off the salads on the menu, to which the customer, clearly in shock as to how she is being treated, stated that she must have had the Cobb salad, but made it clear that she did not order the shrimp dish. This clearly did not sit well with the "manager". Our group was completely shocked how this customer was treated, because NO ONE in our group had complained or said anything other than please and thank you to the wait staff up to this point. The "manager" was clearly not making things better. Then, one of the kids in our group, who knew nothing about what was happening, came back to her table, and asked someone coming out of the kitchen, if she could get her waitress, as she was ready for their check. The manager saw this, and started berating this kid, telling her, "You need to back off. I am taking care of this. Do not talk to my staff that way!!". One of the people in our party decided that they had had enough at this point, and told the "manager", "ma'am, you do not need to treat us this way. We have been nothing but patient and respectful of your staff." This clearly set the "manager" off, as she approached that person, and stood right in front of him, and was yelling at him to shut up and that he had no right to say anything. They went back and forth for a bit, with the manager getting even closer to the seated customer, all the while yelling and cursing at him. She then yelled at him to leave "her" restaurant. He told her that he needed his check and credit card, and that he would then leave. She asked for his name, and after getting that, found his check, and threw the check and credit card that were clipped on to a small clipboard, at that customer and hit him in the chest with it, which is assult! Choice words were said, as he got up to leave, and she followed him and barked at him the whole time as he was leaving. If he dared to respond to her continuous chatter, she would yell at him to "Move"! How can anyone, with this type of attitude and lack of control ever be a "manager" in the food service. I am sure that nothing will be done to this manager, but I sure do feel badly for those that have to...
Read moreCame here as my husband said the food is great as he came here with our son. Got here and he said this is all new and found the name had changed. All good. Hubby ordered pork tenderloin and I ordered make your own burger and nachos for appetizer. Nachos were awful. Had Velveeta cheese sauce then just a tiny bit of shredded cheese on top. Barely enough toppings at all. Chips were stale. Worst salsa ever! My burger was the worst I ever had. Took one bite and it literally tasted rotten and had to spit it out. The fries taste exactly like burger kings which I do not like. Hubby pork tend he was looking forward too was overcooked and dry. He said this was frozen not homemade like last time he had it. Beers were very very warm. Our service rocked by the server. The asst. GM who sat us kinda sucked. He didn't greet us when we came in and stood at the desk while he put something in computer and still didn't greet us later. Just barked at servers. So first impressions were rather low. Hey I get it the nebraska game had you busy but service should be perfect during these times as you make a good impression. As I said food well below par even for a bar. (Stop buying everything frozen or at least get a better quality.) If I am gonna pay $18 for burger and fry they better be edible. The burger was very small too. But as it was rotten I guess I was lucky. Lol Server was great. He was knowledgeable and went over all specials and the menu. He made sure burger came off bill as I didn't eat any of it.
Also, I love Nebraska games but if I am out I also like to talk to people with me. We Couldn't. We had to yell across table and still not be heard. Wayyy too loud and everything vibrated off the walls and actually made my ears ring. Need to sound proof a little to take that echo out of the bar like that. Don't know if we will give them a second chance or not. Rather not spend another $60 on one meal and...
Read moreI’ve been debating about making this review. I was terminated before Christmas. I have been with this company since April 2022. One of the first” OGs.” I have dedicated so much of my time outside of my original work schedule to make sure that this business succeeds. I have worked with 10+ managers for the their short amount of time, also worked with kitchen 4+ head chefs during that time as well. I am disgusted that I was terminated on such empty terms, because Monica “wanted to make an example out of me” because she wanted the staff to respect her as the new general manager. I decided I didn’t want to serve a continuous complicating and rude table. So Monica terminated me. Crazy. I am absolutely disgusted by this. I have given so much of my time and effort into this business. I never had a write up, warning, or anything. But your current manager allows people to be late every day without getting terminate or have any written warning, talk about favorites like Maddie and Theresa. Must be nice. It’s funny how you can help someone get to their success, and they write you off because they are insulted by your own success. The owners I worked with were amazing and didn’t know about my termination till about 4 days later. I feel like I have been stabbed in the back. I would not support a company who allows their manager to do this to their hard working employees. I said my peace, my review might get deleted because I know how things work inside of the business. But I promise I will re-post. I deserved better. I did too much to be treated...
