If I could give 0 stars I would. My dog jumped the fence and someone called animal control & animal control took him to this shelter. I called and schedule an appointment pick my dog up 04/23/2025 at 3pm and stayed on hold with Julie for 30min even emailed her pictures while on the phone so that way she can locate him just to come in at the scheduled date and time to find out that they put MY dog down 04/23/2025. These are awful people running an awful business and need to be shut down. To act like you’re looking for someone’s dog knowing you killed them is insane and when I went there it was no type of sympathy shown whatsoever. My dog, Apollo, escaped from our fenced in yard a few days ago and found himself at HSoGL. Every time I spoke to the staff (be it the calls I made to confirm him being there, to calling twice to let them know I was coming to get him, to when I walked in to pick him up), they were so nice to me. And when I was a little short on the fee to bring him back home, they were understanding and willing to work with me. We adopted our new buddy from the Lafayette humane society a few weeks ago. His name is Maxx and he is the most loving dog I've ever had.
