I like shopping here, however it seems like every time I go to buy meat, the staff will look at me waiting, not even acknowledge me until someone who looks more Spanish will come behind me waiting. They will properly greet them and all while I'm still standing there waiting and they always ask "who was first", as if they didn't see me waiting there. They need to be more open minded and understand that people from different countries come to spend money at their shop. I don't know if its intentional but it comes off a bit racist, especially when I am Hispanic myself. It's annoying to spend money at a place that wont even acknowledge you. Read moreThis store was surprisingly big! It doesn't look big from the outside. On the inside, it's full of excellent products at great prices. I found every dried pepper that I wanted. There are fresh peppers too. I could not find any unreasonable price. My girlfriend and I shop Aldi, Payless, Meijer, Target and sometimes Walmart. La Tapatia still offers products and sales that these stores do not. The bakery here is incredible! Many teas at a good price. Many delicious sauces. Many drinks to choose from. I'll go back because I was a little over-whelmed and in a hurry. I grabbed a dozen items but I can think of a dozen more that I could use as soon as I go back. I think you're going to like...
Read moreGreat Mexican supermarket, they have a pretty good selection of produce and a lot of imported products that you can't find in normal supermarkets. Great for quick shopping trips or for meals when I need ingredients that I can't find in other stores. There's also a bakery section that has a very good variety of traditional Mexican bread. And lastly they have a really good meat department with good selection of cuts. Overall the staff is very friendly they always greet when I walk by and they always help if I need help...
