Food:
We had the spicy Korean BBQ wings, grilled pork belly, and bimbimbap. They have a selection of Asian dishes, but we chose to stick to the Korean items. To our surprise, the pork belly did not come with rice and it was an additional charge. I'm not sure who would eat this pork belly on its own. It was very good but clearly not meant to be eaten on it's own.
The chicken wings did not disappoint. They had that candy-like texture one could come to expect from Korean style chicken wings. The sauce was not spicy but still good nonetheless. They gave us gloves to eat with which was a nice touch. The cost was a little hard to swallow, but I've paid more for worse. I'd recommend trying the wings
The bimbimbap was also pretty good. Not amazing but not bad either. Just a standard rice bowl
Service: My biggest complaint was the service. There were only two servers for lunch on a Saturday. Once we were given our food, we were pretty much unattended to which I normally don't mind. However, as I mentioned before, the pork belly did not come with rice and we had to order it as an addition. However, we weren't able to get a server's attention about it until we were ready for the check.
Another big thing for me was the $4 we paid for green tea but what they brought out was a bottle of golden leaf green tea. I expect brewed green tea or at least an ito-en at an establishment that specializes in Korean cuisine. We sent it back and asked for hot green tea. It was brewed with Sam's club brand tea. I will admit I'm kind of a snob when it comes to stuff like that, but I think my main problem is that I really don't like paying $4 for things that cost me $1 at the grocery store.
Atmosphere: I thought the decor and atmosphere was very nice. Most things are outfitted with wood which gives it a minimal, Japanese -style. It looks much better on the outside than it does...
Read moreA truly neat and classy dining atmosphere! We had such a happy time thanks to Tsunami, which allowed us to enjoy both the taste and the mood of food! The real taste is 100% guaranteed plus!! I hope everyone can feel the warm, clean, and gentle feeling that comes from a restaurant, as well as the delicious taste to the eyes! They serve us very good ingredients in sufficient quantities at reasonable prices. I am grateful that Tsunami, whom I always missed, is back so I can have this meal! Especially Unadon & Ahi Tower & Takoyaki, Sushi Rice, Nigiri & Sashimi & Rolls~ always miss them!! And the only space in our town for Korean food lovers that offers Stone pot bibimbap and Gamjatang!! (Of course, there is no more need to mention the perfect plate as pork belly, stir-fried pork, and bulgogi!!! 🤩) And even the dessert cheesecake carefully made by the chef himself. Don't miss this meal filled with Chef Tsunami's sincerity and love! I highly recommend everyone to come and...
Read moreOn this fine Saturday afternoon the place was deserted. The location is unfortunately an easy drive by, but you are robbing yourself of an elevated culinary experience. The boneless wings are moist and eat like debone thighs, the ingredient sourcing is evident in the finished product, and the attention to detail respects the ingredients. Someone here loves the food they are making. There is a bit of sticker shock, but the portions are huge on the dishes we chose so expect to take home a box or two. The building is aged, the atmosphere was a little awkward at first, but quickly turned into a comfortable dining experience. service was extremely professional, but seemed to be still getting the groove of checking in on tables etc. There were some spots on the glasses but overall very clean. I highly recommend it, and will return for the chicken alone 😁. You should...
