I like the Target on the north side of Lafayette a lot better than the Target on the south side. Less traffic. Less crowds. Same choices. Don't let anyone tell you differently. Same exact stock. Besides, if you can't find in store, you can always order online and pick up there. It's just more convenient, especially when I consider my time valuable. I just prefer this location because the traffic on the Southside of Lafayette is ridiculous. And, if you go later in the evening on north side, well, you may quite often feel like the only person in the store. Now, THAT I like! So, why the four stars and not the full five? I shall tell you. Had I written this review a few weeks before tonight, the Louisiana Avenue Target would have gotten five stars. However, I'm writing this review after my return from a not so pleasant shopping trip and I'm slightly annoyed. While browsing the cosmetic department and checking out the cosmetic bags, I feel like one of the female sales associates was following me around because she thought I was a threatening figure and, I presume, thought I was on the verge of shoplifting or looked suspicious. I dunno. It's the only thing I can come up with as to why she didn't allow me to enjoy my peaceful afternoon of shopping. Apparently, at 5' 1", I must project a menacing appearance. My accomplice was an eight month old. Yes! We were two little blondes up to absolutely no good. Meanwhile, a few aisles over, the real shoplifters are pocketing hordes of lipstick and sample shampoos. (I'm being facetious here.) I was going to buy a cosmetic bag for my return to Puerto Rico but decided Target (or at least the cosmetic department) wasn't getting a dime of my money. So much for that cute cosmetic backpack bag I realllly wanted. Nope. I left and went to Ulta. Still didn't find the cosmetic bag I went there for but I did order one online.
You know that line from PRETTY WOMAN -- when Julia Robert's character returns to shop in Beverly Hills at the store where the rude sales associates mistreated her and proclaims, "Big mistake. BIG!!"?! Well, I'm just going to borrow that clever little piece and am grateful that Ulta appreciated my business. As much as I adore this Target, my days of buying any type of cosmetics here is...
Read moreI had never noticed this before, you would think as MANY handicapped parking spaces at this store , they would have at least 2 motorized chairs for the handicapped. You see i broke my right leg 2 weeks ago, I was going to target to get christmas decorations this evening and guess what? ABSOLUTELY NO motorized carts. I went the entire store on crutches and in pain because of course all the Christmas stuff is in the far right corner of the store. My husband and I also asked several employees for help, but was told they didn't know anything about having motorized carts. I will NEVER...
Read moreMaking a handicap 61 year old woman get out of a car to purchase cards for her collection is absolutely pathetic. This store is a joke. If the cashiers at self checkout wouldn’t treat you like you are attempting to steal, when you are physically there purchasing product would be a different story. Also find it funny that they are so strict on products that only benefit them if the were say a “reseller”. Also find it extremely funny that the security guard frequents Anubis games a local card shop that you won’t pay retail for the same packs that this store has. If I could give zero...
