I love Aldis and have been to many different locations but I recently moved here and unfortunately Lake City could do better. They don't have many of the organic fruits and vegetables and not good selections either. The meat section needs work, too. They also allow one person to buy up one item instead of quantity limits so others can have a chance to buy. I went there for cherries and meal replacement shakes and was told someone came in and bought them all up! There's no other Aldis in the area or I'd probably shop at a different location. I hope the manager will work on making this store better and as nice as other locations. The Spring Hill location is a model store for other locations as they have a great produce section and many organic items. More healthy, non gmo, and organic selections would be wonderful (Keto coffee perhaps) I love Aldis and know they can be even better! There's another store from Germany that's starting to open stores in the US, hopefully they'll come to Florida but for now, Aldis is an alternative from the regular stores - their Friendly Farms store brand is high quality. I give Aldi in general 5 stars but this location only 3 - hopefully I can come back at a later date to...
Read moreSteven is truly of the worst managers I have experienced and why I have slowly reduced my visits to Aldis. Altus has a double freshness guarantee which provides double your refund for quality issues. I purchased lamb steals today that were dated to be good and supposedly fresh and never frozen. We were truly dissappounted by the odor and return procrss stank even worst.
The cashier thought she would convince me that the double back guarantee applied to an $8.81 purchase of $17.51 by leaving a balance of $9.00 instead of realizing simple math concluded differently. Then Steven the manager realizing I could probably count decided to convince me that he thought I just returned the product without a quality concern. A very sad set of mistruths.
While I am thrilled that the self service allows you to get out quicker, the service and thr blatant disregard of Steven on every visit sure make this Aldi's lover wish Winn Dixie and Harvey's would...
Read moreI always heard you can buy cheaper groceries here and it's true. I would bring your own bags to put everything in because they don't provide them. I guess that's why their groceries are cheaper. We just pushed the cart full of groceries to our car and unloaded them. Also be sure to bring a quarter to get a shopping cart, otherwise you won't be able to get a shopping cart. You have to put the quarter in the top right slot on the cart and pull off the lock, then reverse when you put your cart back, that's if you want your quarter. It's almost entertaining, some people are serious about getting that quarter back. It is a good idea though. Produce, eggs, and milk are way cheaper here than anywhere else. Some things are more expensive, you just have...
