Furniture Showplace — Local services in Lake City

Requirements for my new furniture was it be made in USA and quality. Purchased what I was told was made in USA, Bassett Parsons set. Items delivered with "MADE IN THAILAND" tags. I wanted USA furniture and didn't want to support cargo shipping. I went face to face to politely and factually inform to my very pleasant sales lady of my dissatisfaction and was told it only meant a part was made in Thailand. I emailed Bassett Furniture Corp and got a reply that Bassett Parsons was made in Thailand since introduction in 2018. I also call my polite sales lady and informed her and she voiced she was surprised her sales Rep had mislead her. We do like the set and my saving grace was it wasn't from China. I feel I was lead to believe my furniture was made in Bassett, VA and they should have been aware and truthful about it. For their service and friendliness- if upfront on where made, I would have given them 5 stars. Hate dishonesty... Added 11/1/2022 Jeannie called me today, stating she spoke with her sales rep and he informed her that Bassett did indeed have a factory in Thailand. I appreciate her following thru. Furniture Showplace is the absolute best. Husband had knee replacement surgery. First or second day home his lazy boy lift chair quit working. Lucky we had insurance to fix it, but had to send to be fixed. Called Furniture Showplace a wonderful lady said let me call you back. After several calls from store( correct chair height). Was told would be receiving the next day a temporary lift chair and would pick up his original chair. Today we swapped Lazy boy Lift chairs again! The delivery men were awesome! Found out Mrs. Jeannie’s Grandson was one of the guys. We bought our couch and lift chair from her. They are such fine caring people. We cannot thank Furniture...

(Update: Removing 2⭐️s: $$$ recliner that was purchased was poor quality and had problems soon after purchase. Furniture SP never was able to repair it. Eventually, an entirely new chair was purchased, but no break was given on the price.)

Furniture Showplace has a large showroom chock full of displays and individual items. Their selection of recliners alone was amazing; we were even able to find one on the showroom floor that was just what we were looking for.
