Wasabi — Restaurant in Lake City

We've always said we were going to try Wasabi "some time" but never have until last night. Unfortunately, it was right before they closed. Not sure what they even sold, but we assumed sushi. (named Wasabi after all) We walked in, and they were friendly, helpful, and patient in getting our food ordered, prepared, and served. English is obviously not their first language, so be patient. Everything was delicious and fresh. Now, if you want fancy decor and packaging, you might be disappointed in their Styrofoam box. And their soda machine is either out of adjustment, low on CO2, or just has funky water. The coke was okay, but not quite "right"... But if you just want good sushi at a very good price, give them a try. We might go back...

We ate to go. Shrimp and rice. A styrofoam container of plain rice and a few shrimp. Huge dissatisfaction for the price. Decided to try sushi on delivery from Door dash. The sushi rice was old and dried out…. Unrecognizable as to what I ordered. Old tiny amount of ginger and soy sauce, couldn’t find wasabi!! Nasty waste of money and delivery fee. I should never have tried a second time. California has incredible sushi! This is dog food. This city has almost no decent, comparable food except mediocrity of consistently poor...

We found this little gem on way back from Jax Airport. We got there b4 closing ,and no problem. Food was fresh ,and plentiful. The sushi was fresh, tasty, and excellent 😋 The prices ..very reasonable. Nice people. Place was clean, bathrooms were clean, and had hotwater..that's a huge deal. TYTY TYVM.
