I wish to provide feedback regarding my recent visit to your establishment. Upon arriving with a friend, we chose your establishment based on favorable reviews and anticipated a pleasant experience. However, from the moment we entered, we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome.
We were greeted with prolonged stares instead of a customary welcome. As we reviewed the menu to make our selection, the staff, comprising an older Hispanic man and a lady, approached us abruptly with the question, "Are you guys going to order?" This approach lacked professionalism and courtesy.
When I placed my order in English, the older Hispanic man responded in a displeased manner, remarking in Spanish, "This one speaks English." This assumption was surprising and unprofessional, as it implied an expectation of my language preference. While I understand and can communicate somewhat in Spanish, it is not my primary language.
Despite attempts by my friend to engage in small talk in Spanish, the gentleman ignored them. Subsequently, he took my friend's order in English, which further highlighted his inconsistent behavior.
I must commend the younger lady on your staff who interacted with us politely and professionally. I didn't know she only spoke Spanish, if I did I would have tried my best to be understanding.
Overall, based on the discourteous treatment by the older gentleman, I regret to say that I cannot recommend your establishment for a positive customer experience. I believe that such behavior is unbecoming of a customer service role and could potentially impact your business reputation negatively. Please consider somewhere else for your ice cream.
Thank you for considering my...

We were in heaven, and anxiously looked forward to our gift every Christmas. Over 12 years ago, I moved out of the city to upstate NY where I searched in vain for something as good as or, at the very least, similar to Sweet's. I also searched online, hoping you would have a website and eventually gave up. To my joy, I just decided to try again and was thrilled that you accept orders via your website and place one immediately! I can't wait to share the Sweet's experience with my current co-workers. No one, and I mean NO ONE, makes an English Toffee like...
Read moreGreat little BIPOC owned & run confectionery. Lots of chocolates, gummies, baked goods & an ice cream shop to boot. Everything is fresh (not sitting around for weeks & months like many candy shops). And the folks there are pleasant.
The aesthetic is nostalgic & sits in a cute, dutch-themed shopping area.
Need something for A birthday or holiday? They come up with the cutest themed concepts for every celebratory day you can think of. I am a huge fan of the cashew ladybugs (caramel, cashews & chocolate)âŚnot common everywhere.
A bit pricey, but matches its location & Iâm never...
