Staples — Local services in Lake Havasu City

Came into the store today customer service person was new was waiting for the Manager who was on the till, he served 5 customers and did not ask the new customer service person if she needed help. In the end she took photos of what I wanted to order and she said that she would order them and I would not needI not have to pay for them till the goods arrived and that she would phone me within the hour to confirm that the order was placed. An hour and a half later no phone call, so I phoned the store and after two attempts to get through I got the same Manager. He had an off hand could not care less attitude, said that I would have to go back into the store to place the order if I wanted to avoid shipping costs directly to my home. Well that’s not what I was told while I was waiting for him for more than half an hour. I am a retired airline customer service agent nominated for excellence in customer service, This Manager does not understand what the word good service means, could not care less and should not deal with customers. I can see why the parking lot was empty and it looked like Staples went out of business! I went to print a document off my phone, the guy there instructed me how to go to self service. Following all instructions I wasn't able to receive a code in order to complete my printing. No one there to help me. Finally the same person came back around to where I was and I explained i can't print without a code, and he doesn't know why.... And no one else there to help me. He did inform me that if he was to print my document it wouldnt be ready until tomorrow. That statement was said to me in order to sway me away! Well it worked! Never going go back! Went there looking for Command Hooks/Sticks and Omar approached us and asked if we needed any help. He was spot on with what he was suppose to do via Corporate Training. When we got what we needed he was the one that was our Cashier and was friendly and speedy with the check out. You can tell this man is a thinker and not a mindless slave like you encounter a lot at retail stores.

If Staples Corporate Heads read this, I'd highly recommend you guys invest more into Omar. Without Great Service like Omar displayed, I worry about the future of many retail stores like this one, But I will continue to shop here for Office needs in a way to counter the Monopolies...
