Warm, cozy lunch spot. Wide array of sandwich, quiche, and - of course - pie offerings. Kate was super friendly and knowledgeable and helped me pick out both a tasty sandwich and a hearty piece of apple pie. Turkey sandwich was served on toasted bread with a generous helping of meat and a fresh, large side salad (included with any sandwich). Apple pie was clearly made the same day and was delicious. Highly recommend stopping by this Ravenswood corner pie shop, which serves so much more than just its namesake.

Met a friend for a slice today and we were so impressed with the service and the pie and the lattes. I didn’t get his name but the man who helped us was so kind and let us sit a little longer past closing to finish our pie. Said he’d been working there 14 years—what a treasure of an employee! We both left with whole pies and quiches to share with family this weekend and plan to make this a regular meet up spot!

Great addition to a great area. On opening morning, they had great customer service and amazing food! I only got the sour cherry pie this time along with some coffee but it was very good pie! Its safe to say I'll be there multiple times a week. Not only do they have pie but a good selection of food such as sandwiches, quiche, and tamales!

I really wanted to love this spot and I understand they just recently opened, but they have A LOT of inconsistencies within their menu and they’ve been open for a few months.

A couple items I really wanted to try and they didn’t have the item or just “didn’t serve” at that location. Yet, it’s on the menu above their desserts fridge.

Our order had been entered correctly minus a coffee order that the front person thought he heard. I would like to believe that they still have potential and that all of those inconsistencies are just a first and that they may update it to not continue having to explain themselves.

But hey, what do I know. I’m just a consumer with the need to complain like the rest of y’all.

On a positive note, their tuna salad was delicious. My husband got a mushroom sandwich which he liked and he doesn’t like and/or eat mushrooms.

There wasn’t much else I could eat, because what I thought I could eat they didn’t have. I was looking forward to the vegetarian tamales, but oh well. Maybe next time.

What was...

As you may know by my reviews I’m not a fan of loud music or loud places in general but First Slice of Pie was a disappointment in the music department. The music, the staff is talking all the time even singing some of the songs. We had to raise our voices just to speak to each other, that shouldn’t happen in a coffee shop. The only thing good about this place is the pie, coffee/tea the selection of pies and the personable counter person.

I had the Toffee Coffee Pie, it was really good it has a nice mousse-type consistency with toffee coffee sprinkles on top, my friend said her Key Lime Pie was not firm enough like most Key Lime Pies. After we placed our order the lady said” I’ll bring everything over to your table”, that was a nice touch. The bathroom is next to the back door and you must go through part of the kitchen with people coming in and out with food carts. Sorry to say but I won’t...

The quiche and salad were quite good. The salad had huge pieces of lettuce that required a knife that I was not given. The strawberry-rhubarb pie was ok. The place was too busy for one person working with customers. There were other people working, but they weren’t helping customers, just screaming back and forth to each other. I waited to have my order taken while this poor guy struggled to make two orders for pick up. Then while I was still waiting this guy waltzes in and wants to be helped. They start talking in another language and I just say- no- I’m first. The place wasn’t pretty or clean. There were leaves and stuff all over the floor. The windows were dirty and had random tape stuck all over. Pretty...
