Rocket Fizz — Local services in Lakeland

On September the 10th 2019 my wife and I stoped at fish city to eat when we were done I got up and walked over to the candy store and the first thing out of the woman’s mouth was we are closed. I explained that the sign said open and she snapped at me in front of the other customers that were there and said u have one minute. I stood there thinking ..... well I can’t say on here but I said calmly to her you are extremely rude and I will go so I walked outside and I was telling my wife and another couple went in and she went off on them he threw his hands up like ok I give up and they walked out the door and told me how rude she was to them for just walking in the door. So today I tried to call and talk to the ,Ana gear and the same rude lady answered and wanted to to why I was wanting to talk to the manager and I asked her is she was the one that worked last night and she said yes and I told her I wanted to speak to the manager about her and her rudeness last night and man this woman went off on me again. And after she was done she hung up on me. Needless to say. I will make sure everyone I know don’t ever go into that place and I have never shopped there before and will never shop there at all. What a nasty human being...

Anytime I come to Lakeside Village or am in the vicinity I always make a stop at Rocket Fizz and get a soda. There is a mind-glowingly wide selection of not only root beers and cokes, but literally any kind of soda you can imagine. And I really do mean ANY kind- they even have crazy flavors like grass soda, corn soda, and bacon soda! There is so much to look at, you can walk around the stores several times and find something new with each lap. So many funny candies I never knew existed. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because they are definitely on the pricier side. Some of the popular candies there are a few dollars more than if you got them at a nearby grocery or convenience store. But, I do understand they have a lot of candies and drinks you cannot find at a normal grocery store, so they are probably allowed to charge a little more for some of those things. Either way I’m going to keep coming back and trying more of their fun sodas! (But probably not the grass one anytime soon) P.S if you are looking for the best root beer/ soda ever, I HIGHLY recommend the butterscotch root beer from the “Dang! that’s Good” brand, pictured below. Prepare to have your taste...

This store has a ton of very interesting and unique candies, bottled soda pop, and retro toys and decorations for sale. The sodas can range from delicious to awful. I recommend reading the ingredients to see if they've inserted something really weird. Once we got a cola with coriander in it! Must be an acquired taste. Many of the candies are familiar, but about half of them I've never heard of. Some can be very expensive! The cost is why I've only given this store 3 stars. If you went in here and filled a plastic shopping bag with your favorite stuff without looking at the prices, you will easily pass $100. I saw an unusual 6 oz. box of candy going for $8.99!
