Super disappointed. I came here on 6/8 to get a 24â gold-filled chain and cross pendant as a wedding gift for my fiancĂ© (now husband). I told the lady working that I needed a 24â chain, to which she came back and said she found one- and it was a really beautiful chain. I found a cross pendant that fit beautifully, and I was super excited and purchased both. After that, I gave the gift to my now husband, and to my surprise, the chain was well over 24â. He is 6â2 with a long torso and it was almost to his stomach- obviously not 24â like I was told. So he was unable to wear the chain on the most important day of our lives, great. We both went in the day after our wedding (6/11) to see what could be done to fix the chain length, to which the worker who was present was clueless and unable to provide any answers- besides saying he needed to talk to the owner. Side note: Why is this guy working if he canât help resolve a customer complaint? Anyways, we were told to wait nearby for roughly 4 hours until the owner came in, but we couldnât because we were leaving for our honeymoon that night. So not only was my now husband not able to wear the chain for our wedding, but he also wasnât able to wear it for our honeymoon. On 6/22 we can back from our honeymoon and went back into the shop, to which the same clueless guy was working and said that we could drop off the chain to be picked up today (6/28). At this point I thought we fixed the problem, but then I received a voicemail yesterday saying that if we wanted to shorten the chain we needed to pay an additional $40, which we are absolutely not doing. The fact that I was told I was receiving a 24â chain, didnât receive this due to an associateâs error, and need to pay MORE to correct a mistake that was not mine is atrocious. Not to mention the fact that we have visited the store twice with no resolve, not received a single apology, nor has the owner attempted to contact us to correct the issue. So moral of the story, if you want to buy a chain from here- please bring a ruler and verify, because obviously someone has to, and it...
Read moreI've had a 115-year-old Elgin pocket watch for a few years now. A very nice 14kt gold piece. I initially had this watch refurbished at a reputable family-owned jeweler here in town(Muncheles). It cost me $1,000. I found that high, but needed that watch fixed in time to give it to my lovely fiance in time for Christmas. Since that time everything that that reputable family-owned jeweler (Muncheles)on the south end of town did, has either stopped working, or broken all together. I took this watch into Max Jewelers and they fixed everything that was broken including getting the watch running again for $69. Are you kidding me? They have my business forever. Mardi (hope I spelled his name correctly) was kind and knowledgeable and is a man of his word. Thank you Mardi and...
Read moreI have been bringing my pieces to Max Jewelers for the past few years. The staff is friendly and helpful. I always feel that they truly care about their customers, offering advice and information for me to make an educated purchase. My pieces have always come back looking better than when I brought them in for repairs or resizing. I also really appreciate their communication! Iâve received phone calls with updates, or to ask for approval on repairs/stone replacements in the past. This not only makes me feel comfortable, but shows me that they are transparent and trustworthy with all that they do! the customer service is really exemplary and what I feel sets them apart....
