Terrible customer service. I took in a return for my Mom on an item paid for in cash three days previous. When I took it to the register (the customer device desk was closed, as per usual) the cashier refused to accept the return, because I didn't know.the phone number on the CVS card. He accused me of stealing and asked me to leave. An hour later I had my straight, tall, white, male, 40 year old friend take the return to the same cashier and he was refunded with a smile. Safeway is well stocked with merchandise with the exception of the pre-made stuffed mushrooms and stuffed jalapenos in produce. The abundance of scheduled employees and their willingness to help the customer with whatever task at hand is great although scheduling of checkers is all wrong as the lines become extremely long YouTube procedure of cleanliness in between each customer.
