I purchased a pack of hamburger meat along with a bunch of other groceries yesterday.... My car broke down the mechanic had to come fix my car today it is now fixed I went into the store to return the hamburger meat because they are not the lien that I wanted... I was told by a lady who claimed she was the management... That we have to return it the same day... I explained to her it hasn't even been 24 hours it's not open touched or anything and it's not what I wanted.... Not only did she hang up on me twice... She said she was management but would not give me her name... Now she is completely ignoring the calls... This is very bad customer service... She would not give me her management name to claim she was management.... Would not give her name and is very rude.... I do not want your overpriced groceries or you rude customer service...
Update store picked up the phone finally management got back on... I told her she was being very rude and she said thank you.... I told her the way she is handling customer service is not professional and that she needed to give me her name..... She said what do you want me to do.... I said return my meat we cannot return meat within 24 hours from the store... Which makes me feel like they're selling bad meat... Most stores give you a couple days for me at least. . Only 24 hours makes me suspect that maybe their meat at the store it's not good for their consumers... Not to mention I have not even had it for 24 hours... This is very suspect the way the lady spoke to me was very disrespectful. I will be contacting Management in the morning I'm on SSI I'm disabled and I have nothing but time on my hand to deal with this problem... They need to fire that employee are clothes their bad meat store...
Another update I believe the same rude employee answered stating that I need to call the owner on Sunday... So basically in 2 to 3 days I need to call the owner... This makes no sense this store needs to be shut down and then I was...
Read moreA disaster I've been shopping at this place for years and the last five or six times I've gone in I've walked out without buying anything I've repeatedly told the management and the owners that unless the employees start wearing their PPE masks correctly that I am not going to buy from them anymore I go in approximately once every couple of months just to check and prepared to purchase items an employee always has a mask below the nose above the mouth off the chin above the mouth or has a plastic face shield on with no mask serving and preparing food and they think that it's an inconvenience to them to have a face mask on it's not for their safety it's for my safety I've even observed employees eating and using the same hand that they just put food in their mouth The Den pick up food and put it into a container that is going to be served clogged or ungloved I've reserved myself from any comments the last few months in order not to slam the store giving them a chance to adapt to the changes of the new covid-19 but they let their employees run all over them if they cannot control their employees for my safety for my health then they do not deserve to earn or receive $1 out of my pocket of my hard-earned money I'm not going to get sick because they can't control and make their employees do what the FDA and the CDC has mandated that is safe protocol and if their employees cannot get a ServSafe certificate and understand what is proper protocol or food safety then they're not going to get my business and from this day forward I will post exactly what I observe I apologize for any typos or punctuation errors since this is a voice to text dictation and I'm not going to go back and read it incorrect all of the mistakes I believe that anyone that takes the time to read this is going to get the just of my point...
Read moreFor disclosure this is not a review of the store's product line but of their policy/process that sent me shopping at the Grocery Outlet.
I visited this store today with intent to pick up a few items from their produce section, and because I walked rather than drove to the store I carried a small bacpack so that I have ease of carry. As soon as I entered the store a checkout employee told me that I have to leave my backpack there as I would not be allowed to shop with it on. I asked if there was a dedicated place for this since I had my purse inside it. She told me to take my purse out and leave the bag on the tobacco alcohol counter. I asked if anyone would supervise it and she told me to leave it behind the door or something. I looked behind the wooden door and not only this entryway was dirty but also by me placing my bag there would block access for the employees, endangering their escape route. I suggested that I'd show her the contents of my bag at entry and exit but this idea fell on deaf ears. So I took a turn and left the store. I take my custom and spend my money elsewhere.
Interestingly the Grocery Outlet has a sign on the door saying no backpacks in store, yet not one employee refused me entry or service
That said, if people carry backpacks to steal from these stores, how about offering a secure solution for those of us who happen to walk in and don't have a car outside to deposit our bags? Maybe a lockable cabinet outside by the entry door. I know such initiatives would cost money but so does the loss of income from shoppers who don't drive to the...
