Cali Stack Burgers & Grill — Restaurant in Lakeside

We wanted to try Cali stack for dinner, so I went onto the toast app and ordered a curbside pickup order. I ordered the grilled chicken teriyaki sandwich with no lettuce and no onion, my husband ordered the Mac n cheese chicken sandwich and we got an order of chili cheese tater tots to share. We arrived to pick up the order but we could not see a sign for curbside pickup, so my husband got out and went into the restaurant to grab the order. Our food was hot and fresh and nicely packed, although they did not give us any napkins. My grilled chicken teriyaki sandwich was delicious and I would definitely order it again. My husband's Mac n cheese fried chicken sandwich was underwhelming. My husband said that it looked like a frozen chicken patty like you'd get at jack in the box and there was barely any Mac n cheese on the sandwich. My husband said he would not order that sandwich again but he would try something else next time. We both liked the chilli cheese tater tots. Hands down the BEST burgers you'll find in San Diego!!! The service is always on point! Carlos is adorable and always the one who helps me and he is so hard working and customer service oriented! He always has a smile on his face and cares enough to make sure he gets your order just right. The owner is also very nice and helpful. I've referred so many people to this place because they're that good!

My favorite is their mouth watering Jalepeno Burger! You'll never want an In & Out burger again after trying this burger! SERIOUSLY. The difference is night and day. The grass fed beef they use makes all the difference in the world. Even the buns they use is quality bread that tastes delicious. Their burgers are seriously addicting! And their tasty garlic fries that are full of flavor will knock your socks off! You also have to try the spicy jalapeño chicken sandwich. Yummy!😛Of course it's a little pricier than some places but isn't quality food that tastes delicious worth it? Just try it....

Ok, pros and cons. Took the family. Prices are reasonable. Food was very good. Chili cheese fries are a good portion and loaded. Burger was excellent and the bun is perfect for a burger. Had the cali blue burger and it doesn't disappoint. Son had a spicy burger and said it was excellent. Daughter had potato salad and macaroni salad. Hugh portions, enuf for the 4 of us.

The place is clean and well maintained, well lit, inside and out. The chairs are very uncomfortable.

The cons, employees were Meh attitude. Daughter asked for a cup of water and we were unknowingly charged 2.99. That is not good business. My bottle of water was cheaper. Cashier should have told me. Food took a long time. Waited a good 20 minutes and only us in the place.

Two signs say NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS. but the sign above the door says RESTROOM, yet the sign ON the door says....No Public Restroom. Saw a man, who obviously knew the game,...
