!!!!!!DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!!!! They caused a stressful situation to be 10x more stressful. My phone wasn't working and went in to see if they were able to do anything about it. The lady helping was nice and tried to see if there was anything on her end she could do. She could not resolve the issue. I really couldn't be without a phone, so I asked if I had insurance (I was pretty sure I did, but couldn't remember off the top of my head). She told me I did not. That surprised me, but I took her word for it. I almost bought a new phone right then, but thought maybe I should try to take it to a repair shop to see if it can be fixed. Two repair shops and a day later I learned that my phone could not be fixed. I ended up going into the Burnsville AT&T location because I was closer to that one at the time I learned my phone was officially broken. It was at the Burnsville location that I learned that I was lied to at the Lakeville location. I did indeed have insurance. So, all the time I spent running around trying to get my phone fixed was an absolute waste of my time and added so much stress to the already stressful situation of not having a phone. This should have been resolved in minutes at the first stop at the Lakeville location. Had I been properly informed of my insurance, I would have gone home and filed a claim and had a new phone the next day. I know that I should have known, myself, whether or not I had insurance...so yeah, my bad. But when an ATT worker literally looks at my account and then looks me in the eye and says "No, you do not have insurance." I tend to take their word for it and not look into it myself. At the Lakeville location I was also told that my phone was not eligible for trade in. But I also found out that was a lie too. I felt so betrayed. I know so many people with ATT and I have made sure that they know to never go to the Lakeville location. It is a franchise location, so they are not directly connected to ATT corporate and they don't have to play by the same rules as corporate ATT locations. So apparently this means they can lie to you about your insurance and lie to you about trade ins. They are out to make more money, not help you save money. So...
Read moreI went into this location 2 weeks ago to add a line and a phone for my mom. Ended up upgrading my phone as well. The rep said I’d get $1000 trade in so my new phone would be free. He said I could bring the old phone in within 30 days after I set up the new one. Cool. So I go to the store to drop off my old phone and the “store manager” looks at it and says I’m not accepting this phone for that trade in because the screen is damaged. Who did you work with. I told her the kids name. She says well he’s from the savage store so you are going to have to talk to him. She wouldn’t uphold the trade in because she claimed that the “damage” would be charged to her store and she wouldn’t allow that. I asked what she would give me for it. She says $800. I said fine go ahead I’m not going to chase this kid around the south metro. Then she says oops I read that wrong I can only give you $300. This is after I’ve had the new phone for 2 weeks. And gotten a ridiculous bill for all the changes including being charged a monthly payment for my “free” phone. I don’t care which employee works where and which store gets charged for what you take care of that it’s your job. I walked into that store and the person looked at it and traded it for a grand. Completely unprofessional for her to try to rescind after the fact. Not my fault if her version of damaged is different from the kid who helped us the first time. I will never step foot into this location again Pic of the “damaged screen” attached. Horrendous service. She clearly doesn’t understand how to operate a business. off to track down my original employee. This is how the Lakeville store manager treats customers. No...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at the AT&T store in Lakeville, MN. Two women working there attempted to scam me into buying a new phone, claiming it was my only option, even though my screen was covered under warranty. Instead of guiding me to the correct process for a warranty repair, they insisted I purchase a new phone and set it up with monthly payments.
After finding out I was indeed eligible for a warranty repair, they informed me it was "too late" to fix the issue. They offered to let me return the phone, but only if I paid a restocking fee. It felt like they were more concerned with meeting a sales quota than actually helping me.
Thankfully, when I called AT&T customer service, they were fantastic. They confirmed my phone was under warranty and even suggested avoiding this store in the future, recommending I go to a corporate location instead.
If I could give this store 0 stars, I would. Terrible experience and untrustworthy staff. Avoid this location if you want honest and...
