Dec 2024 had not been back to this location in almost a year and was sort of bummed out to see that it's still extremely dirty simple things that could be swept up or just cleaned with an actual clean cloth to make it look clean when you're done the bathroom was insanely horrible. Same simple stuff food everywhere on the counters on the takeout shelves next to the register on top of the register just simple things could be cleaned Jan 8 2024 what a bummer This used to be the good Chipotle to go to. We are now at the end of our gift card today. Our chips were burnt and oversalted. I uploaded a photo Don't mind the oversalted part but each one we tried tasted burnt which was very strange, The burrito looked like half the size of normal like we ordered a junior kids size It made me wonder if we had ordered the lunch version of the burrito by mistake and so that's why it was half the normal size December 21nd, 2023 7:40 is the date in case you want to investigate the girl not in uniform walking around flirting with the boys and causing issues with the customers sad to see you this one. Going down in the ratings but it's true Well we stopped going to the Apple valley & Burnsville location because of having multiple issues so we started going to Lakeville We stopped going to Lakeville this year because we had so many issues with wrong orders delayed orders We gave them one more try because we had a gift card tonight December 21nd, 2023 dirty tables. Dirty floors. Dirty countertop where they hand you the food dirty countertop behind or the preparing food filthy floors Some random girl walking around behind the counter messing with the employees even though she's off work and they are very busy Our mobile order was 25 minutes late. That was the same situation as the three other people standing next to me waiting for their mobile orders that were 25 minutes late and arguing with the employees because of the random person walking around not clocked in causing issues. It's a Chipotle

We were thrilled when our town got a Chipotle restaurant, but this particular franchise has never really lived up to the hype or expectations. There is always a line, no matter the time of day it seems. It seems also that it is mostly due to a lack of enthusiasm of the workers behind the counter. No sense of urgency. It’s also obvious that they prioritize Internet orders over those waiting in line, which just slows down service for everyone. The food is fine - a step up from Taco Bell, but there are much better Mexican options in town a couple miles down the road. Don’t necessarily expect them to make it the way you ask for it. At today’s visit, I clearly asked for a little sour cream, even holding my thumb and forefinger up in the universal sign. What I got was a glop that was easily 3/4 of a cup in volume — way too much drowning my burrito bowl. Sigh. Where this place really suffers is the atmosphere. The dining room is perpetually a mess. The self-service station is usually in chaos, and the beverage dispensers are frequently empty. Food and napkins, and other stuff on the sticky floor. The table tops always need to be wiped off before sitting down. None of this is because they don’t have enough staff. The staff are often idling behind the counter. As an old boss of mine used to say, “If you’ve got time to lean, you’ve got time to clean.” This is not a mantra in use at this location. It’s such a shame, because it’s a very simple business model that should be easily streamlined and made comfortable for the customer. Chipotle has certainly been successful elsewhere, but recent experiences here and in Apple Valley have made me wonder if the entire franchise is taking a nose dive.

I would avoid this location if possible. Workers were very slow, and mostly understaffed. The manager is never there (while the poor team struggles with only a handful of workers). I went for an entree and 2 kids meals after the online ordering system was down (went through the whole process to tell me upon paying that it was not available at that location). Upon arriving, the line was out the door. When it was my turn, they filled my meat and rice/beans then left my meals to sit while stocking the entire toppings counter (4 minutes). When I paid, I was charged for guacamole that I did not receive. The organic drink station was empty and the cashier just shrugged and said “I guess it appears that way.” Then said they were out of kids chips. (There were 100 bags stacked behind her of regular size.) I asked if I could get one regular size instead of the two kids chips and she said they were for paying customers. (Am I not a paying customer?) After stating the place was messy, slow, out of drinks that I would order and not helpful to customers she tossed a bag in very rudely. When I arrived back home (5 min drive) my food was cold (from sitting so long on the counter during restock) and there were only 15 chips in the chip bag…. Glad I did not pay for them, that’s less than a kids chip bag! I review it poorly due to the lack of management, uncleanliness, speed of workers, ease of ordering and unfriendliness by staff. Staff appears to need some training (from the manager that isn’t there) in working short handed. It is clear the customer is not valued at this location.

Three Strikes, You’re Out!

This review will fit in with all the other recent reviews. First time I’ve actually looked at them.

It was pretty exciting to see a Chipotle opening in my town of Lakeville. Unfortunately it has been plagued with mostly poor service, from my experience, since they’ve been here.

Tonight was their third strike. Tonight was the third online order in a row that they had at least 20 minutes to get the food prepared and upon my arrival I still had to wait another 25 minutes for it to finally be finished. I had four others with, BTW. They do have an Internet side prep station and it is always empty and unstaffed. There is usually a healthy amount of tickets being printed out and piling up on the prep station which indicates to me that nobody’s really paying attention to them.

After receiving my food 25 minutes after the promise time I simply asked the guy behind the counter to pass a note on to the managers and owners of the company. I asked him to encourage them to either get in the Internet business or get out. Having to wait an additional 20 to 25 minutes past the promise time is really frustrating. Especially when I’m watching people getting served and leaving that had arrived after I did to pick up what should’ve been my fully prepared order. I told him this was the third time in a row so it’s a trend.

His response: “ I’m sorry but we’re really short staffed.”

My response: “ It’s not the first time. it’s the third time and it shouldn’t be my problem.”

His response: “Yeah, it’s not my problem either.” Unfortunately I don’t have a name for this fella but he’s a mid-20s Asian American with small black gauges in both of his earlobes. He was wearing all black including a black Chipotle hat.

He’s right, unless he owns or manages the joint. It’s not his problem. Shouldn’t have said it though. Especially since all I was doing was giving him something to pass onto a manager or the owner. I gave up on the idea of somebody wanting to listen before I even tried.

OWNERSHIP: I appreciate you guys setting up shop in Lakeville just so I can now drive back to Apple Valley or Burnsville to get my Chipotle. I won’t be back in your store. I suppose the biggest punch in the pants for me would be if you own one, or both, of those stores too. Fingers crossed you don’t. Consider getting in the online business or don’t offer it. And if you don’t want to support online consider selling to somebody that will take care of its Lakeville patrons that deserve a well run Chipotle in their lives. Everybody deserves a well-run Chipotle in their...

It seems like every Chipotle is hit or miss. This one is relatively new so I'm going to potentially review this again in the future. The 3 or 4 times I have been there with my daughter have been mediocre. They always mess her cheese quesadilla up. Sometimes WAY too much cheese and it comes out this blob of grease and sometimes nearly nothing in there. The workers all seem like they are high school students (which I think is great for high school age kids to work) and it would be nice to have what would seem like a manager or sorts. The portions are very inconsistent and they have been out of steak on more than one occasion. I don't like to sit there and wait for the steak to get done. Also, the chips can be very soft with very little salt.

I will check it out again in another month or two. That being said, if you are hungry, don't hesitate to try it.

Edit: it's been 2 years since my 3 star review and I'm downgrading to 1 star. It is shocking how disgusting this Chipotle is. MN Dept of Health anyone?? I don't think I've ever had such a rude person in any establishment at a checkout. She was truly the last person I would want as a customer-facing-employee if I ran a business. We went last night (Friday) around 8pm. The place was filthy. There was food and boxes that littered the kitchen floor. The garbages were over flowing and they seemed to purposely mix ingredients as they scooped them up. When they refilled the lettuce, she simply plopped the new lettuce on top of the old lettuce. The food was cold. The fajita peppers and onions were not cut and when I asked for red hot sauce, she put a gigantic scoop and it turned my bowl in to a red hotsauce soup.

Lastly, check out the responses on here from the "manager". Really??

Yeah no thanks, I love Chipotle but this...
