Gardens Care Senior Living - Homestead — Local services in Lakewood

My father lived at Homestead for 4-1/2 years and recently passed away there at the age of 100. I can't say enough about the compassionate and loving care he received from the excellent caregivers and other staff. They supported our engagement of hospice care when that became necessary and worked closely with the hospice providers. Caregiver Roselie is incredible and administrative staff Kelly and Meredith were extremely easy to work with to accommodate my father's needs. All the staff truly places the well being and needs of their residents first and all of them, whatever their job, were always friendly and respectful to my father and other residents. I was there a lot and always saw how gently and compassionately the staff interacted with residents. The new owners have done a lot of renovation to spruce the place up and provide new opportunities for social activities for the residents. It is not a resort, but it has a wonderful, homey feel that my father found very satisfying and comforting. My heartfelt thanks to everyone...

Extremely disappointed in the management at this facility. The culture feels more like intimidation than leadership. Cassie, in particular, was shockingly unprofessional—rude, dismissive, and completely absent when it mattered most. Her refusal to even show face to the family during a tragic incident involving medical malpractice that resulted in death was inexcusable. There was no compassion, no accountability, no transparency—just silence. Families deserve better. Patients deserve better. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for...

It's stressful to find a suitable facility for your loved one and they offer similar amenities or services. However, this place offered the best price and its people who help and care for them compared to others. In which none of them even came close compared to this place!
