My father lived at Homestead for 4-1/2 years and recently passed away there at the age of 100. I can't say enough about the compassionate and loving care he received from the excellent caregivers and other staff. They supported our engagement of hospice care when that became necessary and worked closely with the hospice providers. Caregiver Roselie is incredible and administrative staff Kelly and Meredith were extremely easy to work with to accommodate my father's needs. All the staff truly places the well being and needs of their residents first and all of them, whatever their job, were always friendly and respectful to my father and other residents. I was there a lot and always saw how gently and compassionately the staff interacted with residents. The new owners have done a lot of renovation to spruce the place up and provide new opportunities for social activities for the residents. Cassie, in particular, was shockingly unprofessional—rude, dismissive, and completely absent when it mattered most. Her refusal to even show face to the family during a tragic incident involving medical malpractice that resulted in death was inexcusable.
