Chapala has quickly become our go-to spot for the best Mexican food in the neighborhood! After visiting three times in a row, I can confidently say that this restaurant delivers a consistently amazing dining experience every time. One of the biggest highlights of our visits has been Luis, our server. Luis has gone above and beyond on each occasion to make sure we had a fantastic experience. His kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stand out. He is very knowledgeable about the menu, especially when it comes to gluten-free options, which has been a huge plus for us. It’s not often you find someone so genuinely invested in ensuring their guests enjoy their meal, and Luis does just that.

Now, let’s talk about the food - it’s absolutely out of this world! We’ve tried a variety of dishes, from the flavorful enchiladas tomatillo and nachos supreme to the mouth-watering tacos and perfectly grilled steak plate. Each dish is packed with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The portions are generous, and every bite leaves you wanting more. And we can’t forget to mention the 27 oz margaritas - they were bussin’! These are some of the best margaritas we’ve ever had, refreshing and perfectly balanced.

I felt obligated to let the public know how terrible my chicken mole enchilada plate was eating at this place. The corn tortillas edge was like rubber and came off like the red wrapping on bologna. The fork wouldn't cut through the tortillas because I think they microwaved the plate or they were so stale. The rice was so dry and the vegetables in it were wrinkled and tasteless. The mole sauce was kind of ok but the cheese on top was glued on and sloppily caked instead of nice and gooey. The plates came to the table so fricken hot and the beans had a pale powdery look to them. My friends plate was pretty much the same, with rubbery and stale corn tortillas you had to cut with a knife but he said that the shredded beef was good so he ate most of the inside of his enchiladas. The salsa was the only thing that was pretty good about the food. The waitress was kind and the atmosphere was fine. I am half Mexican so I have had some leftover enchiladas but these were disgusting and the cook shouldn't have served them. Even the lettuce and tomatoes on top were so subpar and shriveled. My friend and I were trying not to ruin it for the other but we knew immediately that there was something terribly wrong. The prices were reasonable but I've eaten out several times a week for years now and that was the absolute worst food ever. I love this place! Best service! Best food! Best Margaritas in Colorado!!! The atmosphere is fabulous and I come in this place so much I should rent space! I have tried many dishes and all are so good I can’t even pick my fave! I can’t say enough good things about the waitstaff! Hector, Jaylene & Isabella usually handle my orders and they are all so great at their job, literally the best! They are so friendly, nice and also attentive! It wouldn’t be the same if they weren’t there! Everyone knows my orders and say they should just put it in when I come thru the door! 😊 The bus guys are awesome! Mamacita who always seats me is the sweetest lady, Papa is fantastic too and all the guys here are so friendly! In all honesty it is one of the best places I have found to eat in a long time!
