I’ve been here several times since I’ve discovered this tiny quaint store in the small plaza. My kids and I live down the block and have discovered it on one of our many walks. My teen and I went inside and discovered all sorts of toys and goods! I myself was happy about the old school retro games, and my teen fancied some of the figures. Most of the past few times I’ve been here the gentlemen, idk which one but they look the same (twins I’m sure), didn’t welcome or introduce himself or his store. Just sat at the table and said “hi, let me know if you have any questions.” That was it. We looked around and said see ya. This was a while back. Another time we went inside there were a group of people inside. We were warmly welcomed and greeted by two individuals that apparently don’t work there but are friends with the owners? One had a beard and beanie, while the other was clean shaven and had glasses. Anyway, they welcomed us and not the owners. Oh well, I’m chocking it up to social anxiety or whatever. Bought me a game and left. This last time, and the reason why I won’t be back with my kids ever, there was an Asian girl there that gave me a glare and said something under her breath. Absolutely uncalled for. Didn’t want to cause drama so I left it alone. During my browsing she began trauma dumping about her past. Let’s say it wasn’t shop talk at all. Why do that? Either way, just wanted to share. Just figured I’d share and let anyone other mothers know what you might run into while coming here.
Since there’s no way to reply to your question, Alex, yes I understand social anxiety can take its toll, but you should look into improving that. So i understand that can be an issue. I’m not holding that against you guys. Honestly my visits have been over the past year. My last visit was back in March. Since then I haven’t gone back. The only reason why I wrote this review finally is that I had some other mothers question this place since I live near by and have gone a few times. I would definitely talk to your other customers/friends (girl with glasses and wears black: she’s been there half the times I had visited) about watching what they talk about and how they treat your customers. I really appreciate you in replying and taking my review serious. Because of that I’ll gladly change my rating...

Read moreSome friends and I were looking up a place to get comics nearby after seeing a movie, and this place was closest. It had a few boxes of loose issues on the floor, but that wasn't quite what we were looking for. This shop is a small quaint little hole in the wall game store. It has a lot of action figures, games for consoles as far back as atari, a significant collection of anime, and all well organized into sections and in alphabetical order. The prices were mostly fair and reasonable. The store could've done with some music. While the place was clean, it was uncomfortable. It might have been an off day, since this was our first visit, but the store was empty. There were two workers, one guy sitting behind the counter playing games (no complaints there. It's a game store.) and one guy sitting cross legged on the ground beside the counter eating and scraping his plate for about 5 minutes straight with quiet game combat noises in the background... Needless to say, it was an uncomfortable ambience. This is the kind of store I would have loved going to in my childhood. Growing up and visiting this wondrous collection of games, toys, cartoons, anime, comics, etc would have been like an adventure every time. If I lived closer, I'd likely visit again. First impressions are important, but I don't hold it against a place if my first visit isn't amazing. To be fair, it was free comic book day, so I could understand why they would be empty and perhaps caught off guard. For now, my rating stands, but if I'm in the area again and I'm looking for an anime blueray set, I'm willing to...
