I will start by saying that the staff and customer service are AMAZING. The first time we came here they were very attentive. The second time was a carry out, and while we waited they brought us water without even asking. They are very kind!

For the food. The sushi is really great! The flavor and presentation were there! This second time around we came for the sushi. The ramen, however, was not the best. The broth was not that flavorful for me (shoyu) and the noodles were a little soggy. I am a big ramen person though. I did not eat my take home. My wife got the Seafood Miso and liked it, but it wasn't great reheated.

Update for Round 3: The ramen I got this time was the Spicy Tonkotsu and it was the same as before. The texture of the noodles is kind of soggy and the broth of the ramen lacked flavor. The pork chashu was also not my favorite. The soft shell crab was good, the sushi, as always, was amazing, and the potato croquette (appetizer) was good. Their wings are also very good. I would still recommend coming here, but not for the ramen.

Overall I would recommend coming here. I will try another ramen next time and update as needed. Great little place to come for...

Used to Be a Favorite, Now It’s a Disappointment This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. It was a great local spot I proudly recommended to friends and family. Since the change in management, though, the decline has been unmistakable.

The food has taken a serious step back. Dishes that were once consistent and flavorful are now hit-or-miss at best. Ingredients taste cheaper, preparation feels rushed, and the overall experience no longer justifies the price. Portion sizes have quietly shrunk, prices have climbed, and the rewards program was changed in a way that clearly disadvantages loyal customers.

It’s disheartening to see how quickly new management has stripped away what made this place special. The charm, the consistency, and the sense of value are all gone.

To be clear, the employees are doing their best and remain as friendly and helpful as ever. This decline is a failure of management, not the staff.

I don’t write reviews casually, but people deserve to know: this is no longer the restaurant it once was. I strongly encourage others to take their business elsewhere until meaningful...

Cafe Brown in Lakewood is truly a hidden gem that never fails to impress. What stands out the most is the genuine kindness of the owner and the attentive service from the staff. In many places, service feels routine, but here it feels warm and personal, almost like being welcomed by an old friend.

The café is always spotless and well-kept, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Food is served quickly after ordering, which makes it easy to enjoy even during a busy day. The flavors are honest and refreshing—simple, yet full of depth. It’s the kind of food that’s hard to find these days, where every bite feels thoughtful and sincere.

A highlight is the house-made sauces, crafted directly by the owner. They bring a unique and authentic taste you won’t easily find elsewhere, making each dish feel truly special.

With its warm hospitality, clean environment, quick service, honest flavors, and signature sauces, Cafe Brown is a place worth visiting again and again—whether with family, friends, or even...

I came to this place in the first week of their opening. The service was great! The staff was very kind and helpful. The ramen had great presentation, like the rest of what I ordered. I was not a big fan of the eggs I got in the ramen. The tempura in the ramen was also okay. Really enjoyed the appetizers! They had vegetarian options which was great. I do wish they had a vegetarian ramen option but maybe down the line they will. The sushi roll was great, but I would’ve liked some soy sauce. When I went, unless I completely missed it, I could not find any out for the grabbing. It is a partial self-serve type of environment though. Staff will bring out your food, however sauces and chopsticks you grab yourself from the table they have in the lobby. Additionally, you place all of your dishes in the container they have in the lobby as well. All-in-all, I had a great experience coming here. Looking forward to coming by next time!
