The food tasted decent, but the price to value not good at all. I thought the portion sizes were going to be at least double the size of what I received. I paid $50 for a small thing of crispy Orange chicken (didn't taste much like the orange chicken I am use to), a small thing of Crispy Garlic Chicken (definitely not the best I had and not the taste I was foing for), a sampler appetizer, which came with 2 tiny egg rolls, 2 small spring rolls, and 4 teeny tiny crab wonton. I barely received any meat in either my dishes and in the Orange chicken dish there was a lot of crumbs. The wonton were bite sized, like a fun size snicker! Then I ordered the Tai tea which was not the best I have had and I feel like I should have gotten more than a medium cup for it to be $5. The egg rolls and wonton were good, but the spring rolls I could have passed on I didn't like it at all. It was very upsetting to pay what I paid and to receive such small portions. I feel like the rice should be free after paying what I paid and a drink should come with it. Had I got rice a salad and a drink with my entree at no additional cost I can see adding $1-$2 for a specialty drink like my tea, then this would be a different review. I feel like for what I ordered it should have cost me no more than $25 since the portions were so small and you are excluding the rice. and if you wanted to be on the high side $30 with taxes in my opinion. To have to explain to my son's father who is a chef and very picky about what he eats that what I presented him was it for the money that was paid, did not blow over so well, but we ended it with you live and learn. I like trying new things but when I try new things that leave me feeling duped I'm not for giving second chances, I will...
Read moreMy family and I have been to this restaurant quite a bit. Never really had an issue. We went this evening and it was not a good experience at all. First off it was extremely warm in the restaurant. They had the heat blasting. I have a thermometer on my key ring and it read 82 degrees..It made it very uncomfortable to be inside the restaurant. There was one server/waitress on a Friday evening. Not sure why nobody else was helping her. Bless her heart she was trying her best but she could not keep up at all with the amount of people in the restaurant and ordering food to go. The line was almost out the door the entire time we were there. Next I ordered a 2/4 which is a medium on the spiciness scale they use, which is what I have ordered everytime that I eat there. My food was so hot I could not eat more than 3 bites. I had my wife try to see if maybe I was just exaggerating, she had to spit it out it was so spicy. I sat there for about 30 minutes unable to eat before the waitress brought the check. I explained the issue with the food and she said maybe next time I not order the medium. I was a little taken back as this is what I order everytime. I really hope that this was just a fluke/off night for the restaurant as I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. But I dont think this will be in the top of our list of places to...
Read moreThis place is horrible. I don’t know if these other reviews are legit or they’ve just never had good Thai food before. I paid $50 for this slop. Pad Thai was a bunch of noodles stuck together, the meat looked and tasted like rubber. The Panang curry disappointing. The calamari that I paid $6 for were frozen rings that looked like the onion rings from Burger King. I can’t believe the lack of quality and lack of taste. Thai food is flavorful, this was not. I think Safeway’s version of “Chinese” food has more flavor than this lack luster Thai.
Update Owner responds to my review by saying the food may just not for me? I've lived in Seattle for quite a while and have gone to Lacey and have had excellent Thai food. Again I don't know if they were having a bad day or not but the food I received through my takeout order was unacceptable. And for $50 dollars worth of plain lack luster noodles etc I could have bought some American "Thai" from the frozen food section at Safeway. Looking for authentic Thai? This isn't the place for you. Calamari shouldn't look like an onion ring, it should be lightly breaded you should see pieces that actually...
