If I could give this business zero stars, I would. I just called the owner Courtney because I was upset about the way she treated my fiance today, but she could have cared less. So here goes. My father is making my fiance's ring, but we need the metal to do so. There used to be a lot of businesses in Colorado that sold jewelry supplies, including metals, but unfortunately they're no longer in business. When we found this shop we were super hopeful. However, it's almost impossible to make it to the shop because of the limited business hours. My fiance was finally able to visit during his lunch break today, and had an awful experience. Instead of asking how she could help a potential customer, she just stared at him and seemed annoyed that he was even there. He asked Courtney if she sold jewelry supplies, to which she scoffed and said, "Obviously". He felt so unwelcome and dismissed that he left. When I called, all she had to say was that his question about whether she sells jewelry supplies was odd, commented that he drives a motorcycle, and had nothing positive or helpful to say. Just a warning - if you don't look like an artist or know much about art - you're apparently not welcome here.
Just wanted to let everyone on here know that Courtney's husband showed up to my fiance's work today and harassed him about this review. I will be reporting your business to Google and we've also called the police. I have no idea how she got my fiance's name or place of work because I never mentioned it in my post and he never told it to her. Scary!!
Having a bad day isn't an excuse. I work in customer service and I don't take out my own frustrations on a random customer. All you needed to do was work with us, but you didn't. This got out of hand because your husband harrassed my fiance at his...
Read moreNeeded a piece of treasured jewelry repaired. Took it to Creekside Jewelers in Golden because they've been there a long time, have many positive reviewes and it's where we've always gone. They couldn't do the repair because it involved a stone setting in silver. The owner referred me to Courtney at the Stone Shop on West Colfax in Lakewood saying "I highly recommend her and absolutely she can do your repair." I figured when another well established (Creekside has been around for decades and does great onsite creations and repairs) Jewelry store makes that kind of referral, it's worth a listen. So I called Courtney and headed straight over to the Stone Shop. Could not have been happier or more impressed. She explained the repair work needed and upon my approval she went back and did it. Quick, clean, expertly done. In the meantime I wondered the unpretentious shop with its variety of stones, equipment and supplies of all sorts. I bought some other items for a project. Prices were exceptionally reasonable. When it came time to pay I tipped Courtney, purely because of her outstanding service and the quality of her onsight work. It was a pleasure to meet and learn from her. I strongly recommend a visit to the Stone Shop. Whether you're looking for a stone, need jewelry supplies, looking for lapidary equipment or want to get into lapidary or jewelry making, or you simply have a piece of jewelry you treasure that needs a repair; if you want it done by a competent professional at a fair and reasonable price, Courtney at the Stone Shop is hands down the...

You will immediately feel the difference when you walk into this small, friendly, independently owned local business that specializes in supplies and services for jewelry making and repair.
A year ago I decided to take on the ambitious project of creating a custom engagement ring from scratch. It was important to me that I did as much of the work and design as possible all on my own. The process took me more than a year, and Courtney helped me every step of the way, giving advice and guidance where needed. When I finally completed a wax carving I was happy with, Courtney cast it in white gold and soldered in the stone setting for me. Then I took it home, and polished it up and set the stone myself.
In the end, what I paid for the supplies and services was beyond reasonable, and the result was perfect. If you ever need any supplies, services, advice or guidance in any way related to jewelry and would like to support a down to earth, kind, generous, and genuine owner of a unique local small business, don’t hesitate to stop by, chat with Courtney, and check the place out.
