The Colorado Cookie Company — Local services in Lakewood

After reading the reviews, I decided to give this place a try, especially since it seemed like a local business. Sadly I wasn't too thrilled. I got two cookies and a blondie to help with a sugar fix I was needing. The cookies had some cool designs but were somewhat dry. I also got a blondie which I was informed was frozen. They defrosted it and I found it also to be pretty dry lacking flavor. I should be clear I did go later in the evening, so maybe things were expected to be sup-par, but maybe not a good model to stay open late with dried end of day leftovers. Would probably not return unfortunately. I support local but I support it when I can enjoy it. Hopefully this was just a one off! Would love to see them beat the bigger...

My client moved a team building event, the Construction Olympics, up one week, which left me scrambling for a sweet thank you gift for them to share during the day. While we originally planned cupcakes, Colorado Cookies' website made my decision simple= the 34- person Party Platter. As in- person pick up and delivery made the most sense, I spoke with Linda directly, who checked their schedule, and promised our order would be ready by 4. Lo and behold, she called back, and said it was ready early. I visited the store, and was amazed at the presentation. (As well as the ambiance!) While there I also purchased a couple of pre- packaged gifts for family (including myself) members. Product is truly delicious-- and entire experience...

I stopped by and was disappointed to say the least. The smell of the shop was off--not a pleasant bakery smell. The display case was unimpressive... The atmosphere was uninviting.... They didn't have any oatmeal raisin cookies--the one type of cookie I was craving... The woman who greeted me was off too.... She didn't smile, had an annoyed look on her face, and offered a frosted flower cookie as a substitute for the oatmeal raisin cookie and told me I had to microwave it...... I purchased one cookie--a frosted type--and left.... It wasn't even fresh ... Not even scrumptious.... Everything about me stepping in and leaving unsatisfied was just pure regret ..... I don't recommend this place at all ..... The whole vibe gave me...
