(this portion of the review was added April 16th 2021 due to a disappointing visit) 🤨
I recently downgraded my rating because after my latest visit I noticed their prices on some of my favorite items have skyrocketed example the four pack of Farmer John bacon which was normally around $14 is now $20! I just don't understand how they would have the audacity to raise prices when they're making so much money right now. If it was just one or two items then maybe something is going on with those vendors or the company that makes those items.
However there were several items that the price had gone up on , so many in fact that I was able to hear other customers discussing how insane the prices had gone up. And it really seemed to me and the other customers who were commenting about it that it was a bit absurd that so many prices throughout the store had gone up.
Absurd for the fact that Costco is profiting more than ever right now especially due to covid. Rather than discount prices so that customers who are going through a difficult time or finally have money can afford to stock up on the essentials. Instead you RAISE the prices so that way we can AFFORD LESS. I really think that stinks, but hey who am I other than an avid consumer you know.
(My original review begins here) The customer service has kind of gone downhill at this location everyone used to be so friendly but I don't know if it's because of covid-19 and stress lately but most of the cashiers seemed a little Moody and attitudy.
I was treated pretty rudely at the register when I grabbed two packages of toilet paper without realizing they still have a limit one per customer. The cashier kind of told me like if she was upset with me and pretty rudely stated only one per customer unless you have another Costco membership with you and another male gentleman immediately snatched it off of the belt. I felt upset with this because of the fact that I understand policies but I also understand that you should treat people appropriately and with kindness and dignity.
The cashier could have cordially stated that she apologizes but she was wondering if I was aware that they still have a limit on the toilet paper and unless I had another membership she wouldn't be able to sell it to me, then apologize again for the inconvenience. That way the individual doesn't get embarrassed when being spoken to and a rude manner and everyone kind of stares at you as if you're an idiot and should have known better.
Not to mention those that also feel uncomfortable because of the way that I was treated and being around it. I know myself when I have been in any type of store and there has been rude employees mistreating a customer in the line that I'm in or near me. It makes me feel very uncomfortable even though they're not speaking to me just being around that type of negative attitude and bad treatment.
sorry guys but as much bulk sales as you do and as long as we've been customers and had membership you guys just really haven't gone above and beyond when it comes to making me feel special or when it comes to making me feel like you have such good things to offer that I can't beat not going there. You guys really should make more of an effort to organize and implement your customer service and make an effort to care enough for the customer that everybody is so polite and chipper in the store that even when mistakes happen the customer is still happy with the service and still more than happy to return.
The next time I go back if I get treated in that manner and feel uncomfortable because of the poor customer service and bad attitude of your employees I promise you I will not renew my membership and I will make it my personal mission to promote to all of my family and friends not to go there as well because no service or sale in the world is worth poor...
Read moreQuite the disappointment. I recently renewed my membership at Costco and I am questioning myself now that I have visited this location.
I will say, that when I lived in Seattle for almost two decades, and would frequent the flagship store, it was perfect in so many ways: customer service was on point, inventory was abundant and easy to find what you needed, and the building was kept neat and clean.
That was not the case with this location. First, I am 'greeted' by having to scan my card. Fine, but why even have someone standing there to make sure I do that? Secondly, and this was frustrating. You have toilet paper on sale (Item 1773119) Regular price $29.49 and with a Mfg. Rebate. on sale for $22.99 except, you haven't stocked any and are empty. I was one of 4 people asking about this when I was at that area of the store and I am sure countless others asked as well. "We have more stock, it's just packed way in the back". Fine, go get it, we'll wait. "It'll be restocked before the store closes", it's just past 12:00 pm, you're kidding me. "Please check back in an hour"... I mean, seriously?!
All the while, I watch them corral the area and bring down more Coke products to restock. Bad practice. Bad management. Bad customer service.
The final straw was seeing areas of the store that looked like the photos included. Do you not have employees responsible for this? It was like the news of the apocalypse was upon us and people were pulling items faster than they could be restocked and organized. Does Costco feel proud to have their warehouse look like a dump? Again bad practice. Bad management. Bad customer service.
I could also rant about seeing two to three lines of carts lined up into the clothing area (typically 2/3 deep into the store aisles) awaiting to pay but I will say that the lines moved relatively quick.
You're doing it wrong and it shows. Maybe take a page from a competitor who seems to do a better job of all of the above... you know, the one that took the pages from your...
Read moreI usually don’t like to give bad reviews on people working in retail because I know how hard it can be sometimes but … lately i’ve been experiencing some very rude females working at Costco and I’m extremely polite, friendly and nice so it’s unfair to me when I get treated like i’m bothering an employee thats supposed to be willing to help customers out but… I just left the costco in Lancaster on Ave L store # 762 I go to self check out now because I had a bad experience with a cashier working there very nasty altitude, gave me and my family such a hard time so we go to self checkout that way we don’t have to deal with unpleasant angry cashiers anyway I came for pull-ups and wipes for my babies thats what I usually shop for, as I’m waiting for a register to free up the employee calls for next person for the open register so I walk to it and scan my card now they dnt have hand held guns for us customers to scan our items so I politely say hi to the young lady “PROSHA” working self checkout and ask her can she please scan my 2 items I had which was wipes and pull-ups and she frown her face up and looks at me like I could of picked them up and scanned them but I never had to do that because the employees working there have always did it for me but she (Porsha) had an attitude even after she scanned my 2 items I told her thank you and she barley responded to me and was like Mmmhmm. I felt like I was asking her for too much or maybe she’s having a bad day and I get it …. But that location really has some very rude females working there and they need to be retrained on how to treat customers or maybe I need to start driving to Santa Clarita where the employees have good...
