Overall my visit went pretty fast but a little weird with the DMV personal. I get to the window and the women that was at the desk proceeded to talk to her coworker next to her about personal drama. I was standing there waiting until they decided to end the conversation. She didnāt apologize for it or said hello nothing. Very poor customer service. Then the women that assist me was over reacting blaming me for her mistakes and her lack of attention to detail. Clearly she doesnāt pay attention to what people are there for. She is working but not really listening to what you are saying. I was there to pay for my vehicle registration renewal. When paying I clearly told her I will be giving you $121 in cash and the rest with a credit card. I handed her $140 then I said oh wait I have a dollar in quarters. That way I donāt break a $20 for a dollar right. She took the dollar and put everything inside the money box. Then I told her she owes me $20. Oh my god she was started yelling and throwing her hands up talking about why Iām I confusing her and why would I give her $141. She kept saying why why donāt confuse me like that. I said look I gave you $140 because obviously I donāt have a single dollar to give to you once I realize I can give you a dollar in quarters I handed that to you HELLO! She then proceeded to apologize realizing it was her mistake for not paying attention. Then I was paying with my credit card the remaining balance but she was still charging me for the $121 that I gave to her in cash. I brought that to her attention and she said again because Iām confusing her and the computer was old and she had to input everyThing over again. So she did that and said there I subtract that and threw her hands up again. So I did the card payment but my transaction was denied for security reasons. It happens not a big deal. When it was a big deal for her yelling getting out of her seat making scene saying it was denied I said ok give me a minute because in my end the money went through she proceeded to act a fool not listening to what I was saying. Then the money was back in my account with in seconds so I said ok the money is back to my account letās try it again. She got up screaming and said Iām getting a supervisor and she ran off. Me and my 11yr old daughter just looked at each other like what is going on here. As she walked away to get a supervisor I told her she was very rude she said you too.. lol⦠my daughter was saying mom but your not being rude to her and I wasnāt I kept my cool but her omg. She either had to much pink hair dye that got to her or she was having a horrible day. It was so weird but funny how she reacted to her lack of attention to detail and try to blame me⦠hilarious other than that crazy scene I was there in and out pretty fast and I got the paper work I needed to get my smog. I give her that she did...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was there to complete my registration on July 8th,2021 the line was already long at 8:15 in the morning. Around 8:30 Employees that worked there came out and asked everyone starting from the end what business they had and did the want an appointment. When the the gentleman got to me he asked me the same question said it would be an hour an a half wait did I want an appointment. I said yes and picked 9:30. He took my name and phone number down didn't give me a card or instruction he said everything would be fine. Get back atv9;30 get in the appointment line and when it was my turn. Some š¤”named Blaine ask me my name he checked the list said nope I don't see your name explained how I got the appointment dude wasn't trying to hear me kept saying go to the other side. I said let me see if I see the man that works here that gave me the appointment he'll straighten this out. I was talking about going around on the side of the building to see if they were still there. But Blaine thought I was talking about going inside. He got all loud saying I'm not letting you inside they get mad when I do that. I'm not about to loose my job for you. I told Blaine I didn't ask for all that. Then he proceeded with more verbal abuse and humiliation by getting still loud in front of everyone I need you to move from right here gob to the non appointment side you can't be here just rude. I stood in that long line for 45 mins before it got short then when it got to me he counts off 8 people instead of the usual handful. Then looks at me and said I found your guy you did have an appointment. He knew this and still made me wait in line. Once I did get in then security stops me at the door. Blaine walks up and say yeah she has an appointment this the lady I was telling you about that I got into with earlier she has an appointment let her go. Really. I do my business at window 37 I see the man that took my name he's doing the license. I was telling my son about it in the phone he said he had the same experience with Blaine when he had and appointment with a confirmation number. He made him wait in line as well. Upon leaving still on the phone with my son wasn't talking loud. This lady that worked the end desk by the door adds insult to my already injured ego. I stood there for a min hoping the guy that gave me the appointment would come back so I could tell him what happened. This lady proceeded to get loud with me saying you can't have a phone in this area waving her arms being loud getting people's attention. I told her I was leaving any way . She yelled out.Bye. u said bye and walked out the door.b I couldn't believe the embarrassment I endured that day next time that happens I'm going immediately to their supervisor. That was so unprofessional and humiliation to me as a tax paying...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYea right, she's giving a DMV 5 stars? I get the skepticism y'all might have, but for real tho, I have never had a more pleasant visit to a DMV like I had today! First off, the Lancaster,CA field office was the size of a miniature Costco compared to the ones in Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley. They actually had more than enough employees to take care of everyone there and on top of that, EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE THERE HAD A SMILE ON THEIR FACE, AND WERE SUPER HELPFUL LIKE I CAN'T BELIEVE IT BUT I THINK THAT THEY ACTUALLY LIKED THEIR JOBS! Sorry, not sorry for the super expressive caps lock, but it was so surprisingly painless today at the DMV of all places, that I'm still in shock. Around my birthday last November, I got a letter in the mail from Sacramento that I had to renew my driver's license and it even read something about how my past 2 renewals I was able to renew it by mail, but this time I needed to go to a field office for a vision test and new photo (which I am dreading getting and comparing to my first license picture from more youthful days.) So I kept on putting this DMV trip off. I needed to wait a few days for my acne (and Covid mascne) to clear up, or I was just too busy. Any excuse I could come up with just to not have to go to the dreaded DMV became my thought. Nobody likes to have to go to the DMV and wait in a long line and since we had moved in 2019, this would be a new one for us, so we really were expecting the worst. I know that this is way too long of a review, so I'm not going to ramble on for that much more. We went to the Lancaster DMV about an hour before they were closing for the day. Both my husband and I looked around and then looked at each other wide eyed at the number of people there and the 30-some windows of workers, and the size of the place. We lived just two counties away before and the only DMVs that we had been to were way smaller, had fewer employees and they were never as friendly and helpful as the employees here. I'm not just writing this to gain favor or anything, I just wanted to express my surprise at today's experience. Maybe I just got lucky because it was Good Friday employees here were so friendly. From what we have observed since we've lived here, EVERYONE and Every store, etc seems better, friendlier out here compared to the valley. That's just our opinion. Thank you Lancaster DMV for making our experience so pleasant, easy breezy, and breaking the dreaded DMV stereotype for this newbie and her hubby. I shoulda done this sooner tho, huh? For sure, go to the Lancaster DMV next time you get that dreaded letter from Sacramento in the mail. It's so not bad...
