The walmart is o.6 miles away from my house. But I would rather go to Arundel, Bowie, Odenton, Laurel, and Alexandria for good customer service. Annapolis Road walmart has poor customer service from the morning shift, a new manager lady, and some female cashier. It's always a drama from the employee. Sometimes, you have to ask your co-custmer for assistance instead of asking the employee who is going to give you a terrible body language, pretending she didn't hear you. They always fail when it comes to mystery shoppers, No greetings, no thank you. Even if you greet them, they act like you are a piece of wood. No respect at all. On Wednesday, August 9th, 2023 @ 12:30 p.m., I shopped over 400 dollars, I was at registered #7. The cashier was quite humble looking. She did her part. But , the new credit card machine does not take a Pex visa card. She suspended the transaction so the manager could take me to the other registered that still has the old credit card machine register #2 or # 11 . The manager is standing there looking and asking me ( why did you go to register #11? I replied that the line was too long since there were other options, which is register #2. You can take me there to pay. She stated {NO you need to go back and make a line at registered # 11 to pay}" I let her know she is unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. Another nasty cashier was on registered # 8, which jumped to our conversation, stating , " Why didn't you go to # 11 to pay for your stuff. I'm like really wow it like a war zone between employee and customer. So i left everything and walked away and went to bowie walmart to shop peacefully .This is not the first or second time. I decided not to go there unless I have to, in case of emergency, that my kids need something. No one would like to be treated disrespectful way when spending your money. I let the manager know that since she is promoted , she becomes very rude , controlling, and bullied. Several times, I saw how she talked to the young male employee in the store. One day, she followed her male staff helping a lady. She was so impatient , she called loud her staff and said I see you following the lady for what?. The young man said I'm helping her. I was like, "Wow! She is really abusing her position as a store manager. Managing the store doesn't give you the right to be disrespectful. Walmart at Annapolis Road needs training about customer service, professionalism, and leadership. My co-worker lives a block from walmart but rather goes to the one on Riggs Road, Another co-worker lives 10 minutes away but goes to Riggs . I will never recommend Annapolis Road walmart unless there's a change for better...
Read moreRefused Replacing Bad Battery I purchased a car battery (Ever Maxx 35, 640 CCA) for my 2011 Nissan Maxima at the Landover Hills, Maryland, Walmart Automotive Service Center on 1 July Since then, the battery has died several times which has caused me to have to get a jump to restart my car. My mechanic on my last car service even told me I needed a new battery. On 9 Jan 2025 my car battery died again after a snow storm and cold weather. I contacted the Landover Hills, Maryland Walmart and asked if they had any more batteries because I needed a new one. The person in the automotive area said no, and mentioned that I may be able to get it at another Walmart in Clinton, Maryland. I contacted the Walmart in Clinton, Maryland and learned they had the battery I needed. I subsequently got to that store and told them of the problems I've had with the battery and I wanted to replace it based on the battery warranty policy to replace within 3 years for free. The automotive department said they have their own local policy and they would only honor the warranty if their test showed the battery is bad. Needless to say, their test said the battery was good. The store manager told me I needed to take the battery to the store I bought it and deal with them. Before I left the store with my battery, they also told me that they charged my battery after they had tested it. Following-up on my concern for having a bad battery, I went to the Landover Hills Walmart Automotive Service Center on 11 January 2025 and explained to the automotive staff the problems I've had with my battery. I also saw that they had the exact battery I asked about two days before. The staff tested my battey and found it was dead. I explained that it had been charged at the other Walmart. After a very infuriating back and forth with the automotive staff, I asked to speak with the store manager. The store manager, Amadou, came and spoke with me. He too was of no help. Ultimately he too refused to replace my battery, saying he "has to go with whatever his battery testing machine says, that's the policy." Despite all the issues with my battery, Walmart, at least the two stores I mentioned, will not honor the 3-year replacement free warranty for batteries, despite selling me a bad battery. It's my belief that the two Walmart stores I dealt with avoided taking responsibility by hiding behind some unpublished policy so as to cheat customers of their money. This is a very POOR showing on Walmart. I hope their management or someone outside of these storese can look at what appears to be a deceptive practice at the Clinton, Maryland and Landover Hills, Maryland Walmart Automotive...
Read moreWalmart in Landover Maryland. This location is around all kinds of stores and restaurants. The Walmart is little far from the road. They do have a lot of parking area the store. Parking is free. Our visit was Thursday July 6, 2023.
As you drive up to the Walmart, You just see a really big building. It’s like any other Walmart that is out there. You walk inside and the staff members greet you at the door. You have the food on the left and the all the clothes on the right. All the electronics is in the back and all the other stuff is around. This location is mostly like any other setup of a Walmart. It’s really easy to navigate through the Walmart since it’s just a big cycle.
The staff is ok. When you ask for help they really don’t want to help you. I asked an employee about an item and he did go and checked if the item was on the shelf but then he walked off and I thought he was still looking for the item. He just went back to what he was doing and I asked him if they have the item or not and he said “oh it’s out of stock” I just wished told me before without just walking off and not tell me anything. You can just tell that the staff members are there for a paycheck. No professional or anything. Only the greeters was the best part at the doors with customer service.
They check all receipts at the door at this Walmart. This is the first Walmart I have ever seen so this. There is probably a lot of people stealing so make sure to get a receipt if you go here for shopping.
The place is cleanish for a Walmart. This Walmart just look like any other Walmart inside. They do have a nail place, subway and Auntie Anne’s inside. The bathrooms are just nasty. Not cleaned at all! Beware!
We did not try Subway or Auntie Ann’s during our visit.
There is no meat, no vegetables or fruits! This is literally the first Walmart I have ever been and not have any of those items. Everything is mostly pre-made items. If you are shopping for those items then you are out of luck. Go to the store next door. They have those items for you.
For me, this is literally the worst Walmart that I have ever visit. It’s just kinda odd that there isn’t meat and other food option available. Also the customer service needs to get way better. Being rude to customers isn’t professional at all. It’s just terrible in my option. I do not recommend this...
