Grand Mart International Food — Local services in Landover

I was at the store this morning the 29th of april 2020, I went to check out and my credit card declined for some reason, I smiled n apologised to the cashier by name Liliana, I told her to pls attend to other customers while I make a call n figure a way to pay for my groceries embarrassingly. She turned with a frown on her face, said nothing to me but in Spanish she said somethings to her fellow cashiers and they all looked at me laughing, she then walked into an office still not saying anything to me, came back with a man who took my cart from me n wheeled it away without saying anything. I then asked the man why he was taking it away cos I’m going to pay for the things in d cart as I need them, he said “when u pay, u take”. All through this I remained calm( mind u,I was already feeling embarrassed that my card declined) to worsen my situation all the cashiers would stare every now n then while I was on d phone trying to sort the card issue out, cos the liliana lady kept saying stuff in Spanish. I had $50 cash on me so I had to use that n drop some stuff from the cart, I asked her if I can go back to the line n she said “stay here” after about 30mins of waiting she told me to go around n join the line, at this point I was getting frustrated but kept my cool, I saw an empty lane went up to d cashier n she turned me away saying “ I no get, stay there”. Long story short, after I finally n eventually checked out which was 1:30mins later, I walked up to the office Liliana called the man from n tried to talk to him and as God is my witness the man ignored me completely n walked away saying he is very busy! He is the store manager. I wasn’t shouting or yelling or any the like that I just wanted to let him know the way I was treated by the cashiers was not nice and I was so embarrassed. My God the man left me standing there n walked away saying on his way that his very busy. I lost it and before I knew it tears started rolling down. Do not go to La Flor De Mayo Bakery located inside of this grocery store for custom cakes EVER! This does not look like ah $130 cake (will add pictures). They gave me every excuse talking about well it's cream not fondue and next time you have to let us know. Who pays $130 for ah cream designed cake?? They did this on the same day of me picking up the cake as supposed to doing it sometime in between when I ordered it a week prior. I asked for vanilla cake with vanilla fill-in and they put some type of pudding in it. The lines are sloppy... And everybody mouth was permanently blue from takin just a few bites. Im going to post a picture of what I showed them and then what I got.

If I would've seen their IG page I wouldn't have ever went to them....I'm just finding it today. Anyway... This is what I asked for including the crown only cause the price was going up. They said they were going to call me mid week to let me know the extra cost for the crown (no call). Tried to call them several times through out the week (no pick up). Im stressed out cause the crown was the theme of the baby shower. Get there, they brought a crown...I'm like ok cool. Said it was gonna be done at 2pm (got there on time) baby shower was at 3pm. Cake done at 2:30pm. WOW! The last pic is what I went off of, they are not on yelp and the young lady assured me that it was going to look super nice. I even mentioned fondue! I just want to save any body and everybody else who come across them from wasting their money on something of so little quality and passion. You only get one baby shower, Per child! Went here to but the cashier decided to not wear gloves while charging me my bread order she only put one glove on and when i told her to put two on she got frustrated even though the place is not busy and could put one on also there are flies inside the bread casing. After that i bought some soda which idk if is expense but bit it is the water which is 24 per case bottle its so expense i got to for 11$ when in Giant is only 10$ per 3 24 bottle idk whats going on but i feel like i just got rip off at this location so i would say not to buy here if you want to save money i just wasted 45 $ on bread soda and water im amazed. Also the security guard at this location is strange tends to always follow me when im there while leaving his station where people can just come and...
