Good People it’s a NEW Peruvian Charcoal Chicken spot near Capital Plaza!! People have asked me how I find some places. Well I was about hit that Walmart, & I saw this jont!! Items Reviewed: Their Chicho’s Bowl (with rotisserie chicken, rice, lettuce, sour cream, cheese, pico de gallo, and black beans $10.99). LIKE THAT!! Everything is here! The robust charcoal chicken makes a difference!!

Their Chicken Burrito (with everything aforementioned plus avocado $10.50). LIKE THAT!! Everything is here too…just wrapped up!!

Their Chicken Quesadilla (with cheddar & monterey jack cheese, lettuce, Pico de gallo, & sour cream $9.90). DELICIOUS!! Tasty, cheesy but dipped in the mild Yellow, medium Red, & hot Green sauces…LIKE THAT!!

Their Lomo Saltado (with strips of Steak or Chicken sauteed with Onions, Tomatoes, & cilantro served over French fries and rice $16.99 ea.). STAMP!! Tender steak, well seasoned chicken, with Asian/Peruvian spices…STAMP!! No sauce needed!!

Their Ultimate Parrilla Combo (with 1/4 charcoaled chicken, a shrimp skewer, Carne Asada, fries, & plantains $21.99). STAMP the chicken…that grilled taste WINS!! The Shrimp (juicy & flavorful), Steak(definitely tender & mildly spicy), & Plantains(sweet, & huge)…LIKE THAT!! The Fries…DELICIOUS!! Eat while hot!!

Their Tres Leches Cake ($5). LIKE THAT!! Not overly moist, and just enough sweet!!

This was my first time eating Chicho’s and it was absolutely horrible. Since it’s a fairly new addition to my area I thought I’d give it a try. I ordered via DoorDash and despite the food coming in a respectable amount of time, my order was cold. The veggies, the chicken, AND the rice—All cold!! The rice was overcooked and every bite of it was tough and hard. (I could only manage to take a few bites, the rice was so hard and overdone.) The mixed veggies seem like they came out of can and are not house made. Not to mention the whole dish seemed old as if it had been sitting for some time and not properly replenished/prepared. I am so disappointed. The only thing I managed to eat was the chicken since I was starving, but even that made my stomach feel a little ill after I finished it. I threw the meal away and wasted 15-16 of my good dollars!! I also ordered the Southern Peach calypso and they bagged the wrong drink and gave me a fruit punch lemonade instead. My name is Meredith I ordered dinner at Chicho's Peruvian Charcoal Chicken, one of my favorite restaurants to eat at regularly. This has been one of the best restaurant experiences we've ever experienced. Judith, Maria and Jose, greeted me with a friendly smile, professionalism and extremely prompt amazing service! The carne asada meal I ordered was outstanding, super fresh and mouthwatering as usual. Their dedication to excellent customer service and professionalism is second to none and reflects great credit upon themselves and the Chicho's Peruvian Charcoal Chicken brand. We will continue to come here to add to this amazing culinary experience we received. My overall rating undoubtedly is 5 out of 5 stars without hesitating.
