I simply cannot stop talking about what a wonderful time I had shopping here yesterday. My friend and I were in town for the afternoon and wanted to go to a bookstore, Deadtime came up first, and it looked amazing from the reviews on Google. We were immediately greeted upon entering and I was delighted to see the lovingly curated inventory, I think we spent the better part of 45 minutes combing through the interesting stuff in the shop and I still don't think I saw everything. The first room is almost all books, the categories and sorting intend that anyone who walks in could find something to their liking. I picked up a book about Amercian crypids and a cozy vampire romance. The second room has trinkets and gifts, jewelry, bath and body products, plushies, tarot decks, ghost hunting equipment, spiders and equipment needed to care for the spiders and most delightfully, this is where I realized that there were shop cats! I don't know about you, but the presence of a shop cat makes everything better for me. Staff was delightful and made everyone feel welcome, you can tell that this shop has a lot of dedication and love poured into it. I'm going to have to come back to do some more holiday shopping. This little piece of macabre heaven is located just minutes from downtown Lansing in Rio town and is one of the best book stores in Michigan by far! Amazing selection of books, collectibles, and even things you did not know you were dying to have!

FINALLY made it in to this store lol. Been trying to get here for a while. I was passing by on my way back across the state and decided to make a pit stop lol. Said pit stop did not disappoint! The shop is split in 2 sections-books and not books/gift type things. They had stuffies, rocks, stickers, pins, candles, and just so many things. They had these stuffie organs. I was hoping there was a gallbladder one bc I just had mine out a few months ago but sadly there was not one. And the books. Omg, how does one choose just one when they all look like great reads?!
