Kohl's used to have some really good deals and sales after Thanksgiving. Now it just seems like they have doubled or trippled the prices on everything and put a sale sign in front of it for what it would normally be anyway. For example, last year, a normal men's Nike shirt would usually be $30 and priced on sale for $15. This year, however, a normal Nike shirt was advertised for it's normal price being apparently $65 and priced on sale at $30-$35. Just feels so bait-and-switch. We usually spend about $500 every time we go for the sales, but this year we only spent a little over $100 because everything just didn't seem worth the price, not even the sale price. I can easily go online and buy the same exact Nike shirt from Nike themselves for $12 with free shipping online. Looked it up myself online while we were in the store. Also, the lady who checked us out seemed to be irritated and in a hurry. She was just throwing and dropping everything we did purchase, like glass candles, into the bag and shoving the clothes in another bag without folding them or anything. But we were literally the only ones in line at the time. I was actually really surprised and relieved that none of the candles broke. Makes sense why everybody is moving to online shopping and why this store was absolutely dead the Saturday after...
Read morePerhaps when a customer is standing in front of you complaining that they can't find anyone on the floor to tell them what price things are. That, that would be a good time to tell your customer that you have machines all over the store that help customers find the price, because there are no customer service representatives willing to teach you. I was told I had to go to customer service to find out the price. Apparently the employee doesn't know about the machines that tells you the price. How do we survive without them? Is that your message? Cuz I heard that loud and clear yesterday. How about you stop giving me $10 at the register because you screwed up , and apply that to someone's salary to walk around the floor looking for customers who still like "Customer Service Representatives". It's your arrogance that makes you think I'll come back to spend $10 for free. I would rather pay more for help. Have your management read " Who Moved My Cheese " retail is missing a huge opportunity to connect with the people that bring money to spend. There's still a huge market for people who like to touch and feel their purchases. Look up from your register and make that connection. It literally could mean your paycheck. Don't make it so easy for a customer to walk away...
Read moreThe family visited Kohls on the 1st of July 2023. We found a few items and a pair of shoes for my son. The zip tied tag on the shoes said $39.99. When we checked out they rang up $44.99. I mentioned it to my wife, she showed the cashier the picture, she said she would honor the price but had to get a manager. The manager said the tag on the shoe did not match the box number, so the price was $44.99. When questioned she said a customer must have changed the price tag so she would not honor it and I told her "That is not my problem" she said they do not have enough employees to make sure tags are correct. I do not believe that customers are walking around with scissors and zip ties changing tags. This is also not the first time it has happened there. On fathers day, she bought me jeans and they were on a table with 50% off sign. When they rang up full price, my wife questioned it. Cashier called the manager and the manager went back to check, my wife also went back to the display. When she got there the manager had removed the sign. The customer should not pay because you are short staffed or because you made a mistake. The cashier in the first scenario was great, she was prepared to honor the price but was told no. That's why they got 2 stars. I...
