Edited 7 weeks after this review. I immediately responded via email to Ruby Tuesday as they requested. I have contacted them FIVE times and they have yet to respond. SO disappointed at their lack of customer relations. *
I dined here 12-12-23. The bar area was full, the dining room had one table of customers other than me. Neither of the ladies room individual toilet stalls doors would latch. The doors are out of plumb and are misaligned. It was a good thing I was the only female customer in the rest room at the time.
Positive things first: The cream of green chile soup is great, and the chicken was OK.
The Peachy Lynchburg Lemonade did not taste good. It tasted watered down, the peach chunks were tasteless, the drink did not even have a passing acquaintance with lemonade. I have had other drinks at Ruby Tuesday, and the alcohol was pronounced. This time it was not even a glimmer. I then ordered regular non-alcoholic lemonade. This lemonade also tasted watered down. I ordered Asiago Bacon Chicken and a salad bar.
I was the only customer getting salad. As soon as I picked up a plate to serve myself, a Ruby Tuesday employee with a notepad dogged my steps, stirring each dish I took items from. I asked if I was in his way. No. With him being so attentive to my food intake, the salad bar was surprisingly neither clean nor tidy.
I had eaten perhaps a quarter of my salad and none of the soup when my main was delivered. She offered to take it to the kitchen and leave under the warming lamp. No, I’d rather it be cooled at my table than dried out under the warming lamp. Later my server noticed it was on the other side of the table and asked if there was a problem and asked if I wanted it remade. No, I told her I decided I would simply take it home for later, and ate my salad at leisure. She brought a to-go container and I went back to the salad bar.
At the salad bar, I was again monitored and followed closely by an employee.
I must say, the cream of green chile soup is excellent.
When I finished my salad and soup, I tasted the “Parmesan cream sauce” covering the chicken dish. It was bland and tasteless. I scraped it off. I am presuming Asiago cheese flakes were in the dish, but they were not visible. The dish did not look like the menu photo. The chicken was not two chicken breasts as described, but two chicken breast slices. I tasted the chicken. It was moist and tasted fine. I took a piece of bacon, but was not impressed and did not finish it. I tasted the broccoli. They were very overcooked and were mushy. The mashed potatoes were tasteless and unseasoned. I decided the only thing I was taking home were the two chicken breast slices for my dog.
My server brought the bill and I paid, tipping her 20%. I asked if the manager made table rounds. She asked if I wanted to speak with the manager. I asked if the manager was informed when there were issues, and was again asked if I wanted to speak with the manager. Yes please.
An unnamed woman came to the table and said she was told I wanted to see her. Yes. I told her I was not happy my hot main came out when I was one quarter through my salad. She interrupted and asked how I ordered, if I specified I wanted to eat the salad first. I was taken aback, and said I did not, as I did not know I had to. She said the kitchen wasn’t really busy so food came out fast. I told her about the salad bar worker who followed me. She said she would talk with him about that.
She then turned and WALKED AWAY while I was still talking! I was not loud, I was not obnoxious, I was not demanding anything, yet this MANAGER, this PROFESSIONAL physically walked away. Is this the way your managers are taught customer service?
I left the to-go container on the table with the other uneaten food and undrank lemonade. It was an expensive night for a basic salad bar as I paid $29.16 for food and...
Read moreI rarely eat at Ruby Tuesday in Las Cruces mainly because it’s tucked in a corner and forget its there. Today I called and ordered a Turkey club sandwich. Girl on the phone describes the sandwich which sounded tasty. Great placed my order. Waited a while in curbside spot no one came out. I eventually called and someone came out. He proceeds to tell me that my order was never placed. So I told him I wanted the club sandwich. He placed the order and I get my order and drive off. I decide to snack on the fries on the way home and to my surprise the only thing in the sandwich was bacon. Lots of it. I call back and tell him my order was wrong he tells to return they would make it right. He goes on to tell they don’t carry club sandwich. He said he couldn’t give me a refund so he called the manager. The manager came out with gloves on ready to argue. Instead of saying let me correct that or can we offer you something else. Instead right away stated “I can’t give you a refund you got what you ordered” I explained about the phone call and hope the girl described the sandwich but he didn’t care he kept saying you got what you ordered! Very rude and didn’t care and just wanted to argue. We kept going back and forth I finally asked at least for a store credit which he reluctantly agreed. I asked for the corporate number and said they didn’t have one. I got the credit since I know my boyfriend will eat there. As for me I will keep the place tucked away. No one deserves to be...
Read moreWent to have lunch this past weekend. Our server was Wolfgang. Absolute terrible service, and attitude. Paid the guy a compliment and got a snotty response. I was a server for many years as was several of my family members, so I know how the job can be, but if you don't like to engage people, then don't take a job that you have to interact with the public. Ordered an appetizer and 2 entrees. The entrees came out before the appetizer, which we ended up taking to go. No apology for that error. When we told a separate girl who brought out our food, she is the one who suggested taking it to go, but good customer service would have included the waiter and then the manager coming to the table and apologizing. Mashed potatoes were cold, and the chicken tenders (also cold) were obviously processed pre-frozen BREADED, not the hand battered entree they used to serve, and advertise. Tater tots on the burger plate were also cold, though the burger was hot. Not once did he come back to the table to refill our drinks or check in to ask if anything was needed. When he came to bring the check, he just set it down, no direction on how we pay, no 'can I get you anything else?' nothing. We ended up going up to the front host area and stood there waiting for someone, ANYONE to help so we could leave. THEN the server came up and was friendly. Truly a...
