It is conducive to a wide variety of people; older groups or individuals looking for low impact aerobic opportunities (many classes offered), individuals looking for open laps (available in hour time slots), a water channel with resitant currents, splash area for little tykes (or the many adults who sit in it), a water slide, a warmer pool for classes or people looking to just be buoyant. Some lessons I have learned as clientele of different needs. For starters the actual hours are M-F 730a-8p, Sat 8a-730p, Sun 12p-730p. The pools are closed to everyone from 1130a to 12 and from 330p to 4p. 2.They are open well into the evening, and it is so quiet then. As a 38 week pregnant woman I would come and do handstands and flips trying to turn my baby out of breach (its worked btw). The warm, deeper pool is perfect for that. As a lap swimmer: There are only two laps but it is pretty systematic. You must specify intent to swim laps for a special bracelet which provides preeminence over other swimmers trying to swim in the lanes. 2 people per lane is the most functional anymore than that and it prohibits a workout and opportunity to raise that heart rate. They will gladly adjust your time for you if too crowded. As a person who can only work out at noon: Its loud after 12pm. So if you are easily bothered by happy, fun-loving children and their amazing parents that care enough to let their kids have fun than don't bother to bring your grumpiness and ruin some kids day. As a parent: The life guards do a great job watching your kids too. They are there sure to save lives in the unfortunate event a child nearly drowns. You will witness (with your ears) that they are really there to make sure kids (yours included) play it safe. No running, no dangerous floaties, no missuse of slide/water spouts. So get use to the whistle (about every 2 minutes) and allow them to correct your child it is for the...
Read moreLast weekend we had my daughter's birthday party at the aquatic center. I had called a week before to make sure it was still ok to set up a table out on the patio area for drinks and snacks for our guests since the room inside had already been rented out. I was told yes and I went and put money on my account so my guests could be let in without a charge, I would take care of it. Day of the party and the 2 ladies up front were extremely rude to some of my guests. I had multiple guests come tell me that the moment they mentioned they were with our party they were met with rudeness and told they still had to pay either way. I went up front to ask if there were issues with my account and I was told it was confusing. I then asked if writing my name on a paper for them to remember my name would make it easier to remember and they told me no. I continued to have my guests tell me that they were being charged to enter. I then had to make sure to go to the front whenever a guest arrived to make sure they were not being charged. The lady with the glasses was rude with me as well. If this is such an issue or confusing then please tell your guests NO when they call to ask. I've been bringing my kids to the aquatic center for a few years and have never had issues like this, we've even had my son's birthday party here last year and this was...
Read morePlace looks amazing would love to be able to use it, but there are too many barriers to use. 24 hour Reservations required for nearly everything. Reserving for lap swimming is ridiculous. They have a huge new pool with many lap lanes but nearly impossible to use it. It’s like an empty temple of doom for swimmers - empty pool during prime hours. Or most of the time - closed. Why have lap swim reservations? Just have daily open swim hours for lap swimmers open for the general public- first come first served. Also …Closed on Sunday and evenings when most people (workers/tax payers) could use the pool. Don’t tell me it’s lack of employees - pay people right and they will work. Terrible management this is what a great aquatic center could have been but ruined by bad policy. It could have been a great resource for people wanting to stay or get healthy. Our taxes paid for this let us use it without so much red tape! Open adult lap swimming all lanes - with set daily hours and no reservations. Not to mention water classes in the hot as heck pool! Not everyone what’s to exercise in hot water! So many issues, such a waste of what could have been a great place to swim. Enjoying looking through the window as that’s as close as you will get to using this beautiful...
