Joe's Travel Plaza — Local services in Lathrop

Wow what good can you say about Joes Travel Plaza. I have come here alot stopped for awhile had some family problems to take care of but when I came back everyone I knew was gone like Kim Raytrell Allen and a couple others. It went down hill security is a joke they think everyone is a theif. I used the restroom the womens to be more precise and a women was hitting a dope pipe and blowing the smoke into the toilet while she flushed it she was wearing a blue KKC shirt dont know the name of person but she was chillen flushing and blowing the stale door didnt lock I guess dont know if she knew or not I almost walked into that stale but left so she didnt see me I dont think. She came out shortly after thats how I knew what she had on. I have seen drug deals go down at the truck wash place in the back several times. Anyways people are rude management is a joke they treat some staff like they are children.. They use to let a guy work there who was drunk all the time now druggies wow way to go Joes u should get a medal of awesome.. Wont go here anymore will be telling all my friends and family to avoid this...

Worst truck wash experience at Joe’s Travel Plaza.

I was quoted $75 by a tall Indian guy working the wash. No problem—I even planned to tip him and pay $100 total. But when it was time to pay, he charged me $90 without saying a word. When I asked why, he said the truck was “too dirty.”

First off, that’s not how pricing works, you don’t change it after the job’s done without telling the customer. Second, the truck wasn’t even properly cleaned. When I pointed that out, he straight-up said, “It is what it is,” with zero accountability. Completely rude and unprofessional.

If the owners want proof, I’ll gladly bring the truck back and let them see for themselves. The job was half-done, and I was basically overcharged for a wash that didn’t deliver. I came in ready to tip big for good service, but after this? Never again.

This place is my absolute favorite place to get gas and the only place unless it's an emergency. I come down from Stockton even. It feels like the independent mom and pop place that it is. The folks that work there are the nicest and they keep the place very clean. They treat customers like other places oughta treat you. The coffee is the best. I don't know what brand it is but it's awesome for a truck stop. It's also free if you get gas or diesel. Wish I knew that when I had to fuel a bus everyday. I think you get free coffee with a scale or truck wash but I don't know. I just wanted to give a big shout out to this oasis when a lot of corporate places treat you like a number these folks are always smiling and treat you...
