I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Hampton Inn & Suites in Lathrop, and I must say it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment I stepped foot in the lobby, I was met with an astonishing display of rudeness from the front desk staff, particularly one individual who left a lasting negative impression.
While waiting for my friend, who was about an hour away, I decided to sign up for Hilton Honors in the lobby. It was at this point that the front desk girl approached me and inquired if I had a room. I politely informed her that I was waiting for my friend to arrive, but instead of offering any assistance or providing a friendly response, she began interrogating me and demanded to know my friend's name. I was taken aback by her confrontational attitude and found her behavior extremely rude.
To my shock and disbelief, the situation quickly escalated when the front desk employee responded with a profanity-laden outburst. She hurled offensive and derogatory language at me, using obscenities and racial slurs. I was appalled by her unprofessional conduct and couldn't believe that Hilton, a reputable hotel brand, would employ someone with such a complete disregard for basic customer service and common decency.
Needless to say, this incident left a sour taste in my mouth, and I promptly decided not to proceed with booking two rooms for three nights as originally planned. It is disheartening to think that Hilton, a company I once trusted, would allow individuals like this front desk girl to represent their brand and tarnish their reputation. This unfortunate encounter has seriously shaken my trust in Hilton, and I am now hesitant to patronize any of their properties in the future.
In conclusion, my experience at Hampton Inn & Suites Lathrop was nothing short of a nightmare. The unprofessionalism, rudeness, and offensive behavior exhibited by the front desk girl were absolutely unacceptable. I strongly advise potential guests to reconsider staying at this particular hotel, as the level of service and respect for customers is shockingly low. Cons: The hotel main door is locked. I absolutely hated it. I come back at the hotel after midnight & 2 am, standing in front of the main door waiting for it to open seems like a forever wait (even though it's not, lol). They should have a card access through the main hotel door for those that are staying. It would be convenient for us that come back to the hotel late. They also lock one side of the hotel parking entrance as well so you have to drive to the other side to get in. Another one I didn't like was the digital key not working and I have told front desk multiple times that it still isn't working. The response I got was, "It's fixed" 😑.

I came to ask your front desk previously when picking up a roll away and asked what the latest time was that we could check out and was informed by the staff member that we could check out at 1 pm at the latest.
I had a cleaner come to the room at 10am trying to clean the room and had another come at 11:55 pm. When I gave Marissa this information she raised her voice and demanded I give her the name of the staff member from the front desk that I spoke with.
Marissa stated that I had to check out at 12 no exceptions and when I asked her for the name of the staff member that I spoke with, her response was that it was not her job and her job was to have me checked out on time and was very rude to me in the process
I'm here as she's talking to another guest and she's being very sweet to them which is not how she was interacting with me.
She stated her behavior is warranted because your employee did not notate our stay being checked out until 1.
I don't believe its my fault your staff isn't doing their due diligence when on the clock and in no way shape or form is it acceptable to be ridiculed by your staff member Marissa.
If you can reach out to me by email about your staffs conduct and being rude to your guest I would appreciate it.
There's zero room for staff members being rude and it should not be allowed in your place of business at all.
