Stayed here again on Saturday, 1.20.24 in room 223. On both visits we had trouble at night with the plug next to the beds. They would turn off with the motions sensors. So if you’re trying to charge a device or use a CPAP they sporadically stopped working/charging throughout the night until you switch plugs. It is Incredibly frustrating. I read about this in different Reddit groups but I have never experienced it myself. It is unbelievable that this happens. When we told the front desk about it they acknowledged the problem but didn’t seem concerned enough to fix it.
The wireless was crazy slow. The front desk was not helpful said they had a technician over the day before and that the entire town of Lathrop was having service issues. It was storming a bit. But still, I had to switch hotels for better wireless.
Each visit the rate was highly competitive and usually came in under the others and well worth it!
We were visiting family in Stockton and used this as our refuge from “forced family fun”. We were in room 204 from December 26 to December 29, 2023 with two adults and one small, highly gifted adorable, well dressed dog.
Pros • Easy to get to, right off of I-5 • Lots of parking, well lit and safe • Lots of luggage carts • Great, clean gym with cardio, weights, mats, and misc. • Filtered water (but tasted weird on our second stay) • Great breakfast (free) but only available even on weekends from 6-9am, and plenty of snacks / booze (pay) • Spacious lobby and beautiful courtyard w/ plenty of space for private meetings/eating • Friendly, kind, and helpful staff • Nice big bathroom and shower. Plenty of counter space. Rooms were not carpeted and were super clean.
Cons • Room 204 was really, really small with one king bed. Room 223 was much bigger and spacious with two queen beds. • No drawers or closets, just hooks and a few hangers • Bathroom door would not stay open • AC was right next to the bed and we could not get the temperature right, too cold, too hot • Booking was a huge pain as we needed to extend our stay and both reservations never carried to our loyalty #,still having trouble tying it to the # • Area is a little rough, but we always felt safe...
Read moreWorst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Where should I start. Dealing with a domestic violence situation I thought let me stay in a hotel to be safe for the nite. I called this location and made a reservation over the phone being that I previously stayed here before once it should be fine. When I arrive to check in I was discriminated against due to having a prepaid card. I was told that they did not take prepaid card which was strange to me being that the previous stay I used the same card. I proceeded to ask would they accept the credit card that I had and the lady at the desk began to argue with me about that chime didn’t make credit card while I held it in my hand. Being that I was dealing with a much bigger issue at hand I was not going to argue with this woman and said ok and left. Most hotels were booked so I slept in my car that night to wake up and see that the hotel still charged me over 200$ when I thought was weird when she specifically said that they didn’t accept that payment but took my money anyhow. Now I’m confused and upset.. so I called the location to speak with a manager to discuss the situation and I just got a different girl with the same nasty attitude also false information from Paul stating a manager would be onsite at a certain time. Whoever is doing the training for these employees are not training customer service or professionalism. I have been talked disrespectfully from every employee on duty that day. I feel highly disrespected and would never stay at this location again! I never spoke to management she clearly let her employees run her location which...
Read moreAn ehhh kind of stay. I had to book last minute for a business trip. Unfortunately this meant I ended up with a room close to the elevator, on the second floor right above the outdoor patio area. It was very noisy and you can hear people talking outside and playing cornhole. The walls are kind of thin. I couldn't sleep very well, you can hear conversations clearly so I had to blast an extended white noise video on YouTube on the TV so I can sleep soundly.||The bed is okay but not the best, it's too firm for my preference. I especially don't like how this hotel uses hooks and this weird pipe in lieu of a closet and drawers. Apparently it's specific to this hotel chain. It's very inconvenient for those who expect drawers. The sticker near the pipe with hangers advertised there was under the bed storage but there was clearly not??? It's just a metal box, no drawers or anything. I was extremely bummed out. The room comes with a microwave and a fridge, but no safe.||The desk is right next to the AC unit so expect to get blasted with cold air when you try to work. The desk is also very tiny too. I liked how there's automatic lights as you walk into the room or the bathroom.||The bathroom has a nice roomy shower with squeeze bottles for toiletries. I've never seen that before in a hotel! I'd like to see more hotels implement them.||Breakfast was decent, there's an automatic pancake machine and your usual breakfast fares like cereals, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, etc. Coffee and...
