Had a horrible experience here. The badge renewal women employee whom was working on 8/22/23 paid little attention to detail while doing her own job while as it appears to be having a blast while doing so. Basically I had an appointment which I was about 15 mins late to due back to school traffic (Iām aware Iām wrong on this part). I walked in and security directed me to a sit down area where I would be called upon. I wait for 10 minutes and she yells out to a guy she can see while sheās sitting down in her chair in her office āare you getting a badge replacementā? (not even checking to look if any of her other appointments are there). As Iām waiting (for 35-40 more minutes) all I could hear is the badge renewal lady cracking up laughing with someone sheās helping for a good 25 minutes of that wait. Eventually the security guard I guess noticed Iām still waiting and comes to her office and lets hers know that her earlier appointment is here waiting. She says āoh noā (as if she had no idea I was sitting there waiting this whole time). Whispers to the security guard and they escort me to the front and the security guard politely tells me that she says I need to reschedule for being late. To me, I would have accepted kindly if it was said to me earlier. Iām not sure if it was the security guard for letting her know once I walked in or the laziness of the badge coordinator whom apparently failed to get up and actually check to see who was waiting to be seen. This made me very upset. And No, Iām not a Karen who complains about any little thing. This really bothered me because as my time was being wasted for 40 mins for nothing, this employee was having the time of her life laughing it up. Itās very unprofessional for a U.S government establishment to be operating like this. More attention to detail needs to be happening here. I expect this from maybe a DMV or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy review is to give heads up to those, who want to change their name. Be prepared and politely insist. I wanted to change my name and put it on application in advance. Butā¦. I was not prepared that the officer would prefer to avoid additional paper work. When the officer asked me if I was sure that I want to change my name. I was - I wanted short version of my long, which I use everywhere to become legal.
He said āwell, in this case, ceremony will not happen this yearā when I asked when he said dates are not even shown in the system, definitely not this year (it was September) lines are long, I also asked if I am able to change later - he said āYesā, even easier without coming here.
I decided not to take risk and thanked him for his kind advice and left my long name. I believed he cared about my interests.
When I shared my story at Hispanic Unity, where I prepared for interview and attended citizenship course, thatās where I was explained and realized what happened. I wish I knew that officers can overuse authority in order not to do paperwork. If you are determined to change your name - insist and change. Name change later is not easier (- piles of docs to file, court and up to several months + $400.)
All other services are good, building and halls are clean, parking is close and enough spaces. Waiting time was just 15 min from the time of appointment. People working there polite, friendly and nice, which made me trust and believe without doubt and now regret and didnāt fully enjoy the moment I was envisioning and dreaming of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is one of the most difficult office, the officer do not hold integrity in their position. My husband has had several issues obtaining emergency documents from this office and even the supervisor has stated issues that doesn't pertain to him. It is so sad the my husband can't not leave to see his dying mother because thus office do not want to give him a travel documents and even the supervisor there lies to him about policy's and procedures that's not part of Uscis. I am so happy that I was born on the US becasue the treatment of immigrants are so mistreating and they can not even exercise and human rights as much as he's tried to be with his dying mother this office doesn't even care. Hopefully next year I can get him his citizenship and he then will not have to ever deal with this office or immigration. I just feel bad for the immigrants in the local area as these officer do not hold integrity in federal government policy's and procedures. Oh not to mention that the office workers take long hour breaks and the people has to wait until there done with breaks. The office also stop taking people 30min before closing hours. It very sad how our federal government funding is being paid to individuals that should have the highest standards of integrity, respect, and honesty. Glad to...
