Lauderhill, FL. AKA Oriental Mart, this Korean Grocer has been here at least since 2011 when I moved here and it looked old then. But it has expanded nicely in the last year.
Due to the popularity of Kdramas and Korean music in South American culture and their growing popularity in the U.S., I saw many more young people shopping here today than usual. Also, since Kimchi Mart opened a few neighborhoods over, I suspect this Korean mart needed to increase its supply.
This store has always had a huge selection of Asian goods, snacks, ingredients, fresh vegetables, and frozen foods.
They have added a couple of televisions showing Asian cooking shows. They’ve also added a section of refrigerated fresh kim chi (and this mart’s recipe is amazing!). They have some fresh pastries from the nearby Paris Morning Bakery.
Unlike Kim Chi Mart, this market is a small business and local Asians shop here.
They have mostly Korean products, but also offer Vietnamese, Japanese, Filipino, Chinese, Taiwanese, and American products.
