Korean Grocer — Local services in Lauderhill

Lauderhill, FL. AKA Oriental Mart, this Korean Grocer has been here at least since 2011 when I moved here and it looked old then. But it has expanded nicely in the last year.

Due to the popularity of Kdramas and Korean music in South American culture and their growing popularity in the U.S., I saw many more young people shopping here today than usual. Also, since Kimchi Mart opened a few neighborhoods over, I suspect this Korean mart needed to increase its supply.

This store has always had a huge selection of Asian goods, snacks, ingredients, fresh vegetables, and frozen foods.

They have added a couple of televisions showing Asian cooking shows. They’ve also added a section of refrigerated fresh kim chi (and this mart’s recipe is amazing!). They have some fresh pastries from the nearby Paris Morning Bakery.

Unlike Kim Chi Mart, this market is a small business and local Asians shop here.

They have mostly Korean products, but also offer Vietnamese, Japanese, Filipino, Chinese, Taiwanese, and American products.

They have always had a huge selection of soju flavors, plus sake and other wine and...

Clean, well run Korean centric Asian supermarket. Goods come and go as shipments arrive and sell out.

Notably, this place is clean and doesn't have the bad smell common with many Asian markets.

Can get YEO brand soy milk from Malaysia, Meiji brand fine chocolates from Japan (more ppl should discover this excellent chocolate brand).

There's one cashier in lavender hair who is Korean she is the worst cashier I have ever experienced. She is cold, hostile, unfriendly, rude. She gives me goose bumps all the time.
