Five-Star Review for Maaco Paint & Body Shop – Owner: Israel
I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience deserves every bit of recognition. I recently took my friend’s older vehicle to Maaco Paint & Body Shop for a complete repaint—and I’m absolutely blown away by the results.
To put this into perspective, I’ve been in the collision repair industry for over 30 years. I work at a certified body shop, I train estimators, I deal directly with insurance companies and major paint supply vendors—I know this business inside and out. In fact, I could have repainted this car in my own shop. But let me be honest: with today’s cost of materials, labor, and prep, it’s almost impossible to get a high-quality job done for less than $6,500. The cost of just the paint materials alone would have made it unfeasible for me to do this favor for my friend in-house.
That’s when I decided to give Maaco a shot. For $1,500, they did a complete repaint and included a three-year warranty. I’ll be honest—I walked in skeptical. But the moment I met Israel, the owner, that changed. He’s not just knowledgeable—he’s passionate, kind, professional, and confident in his craft. I told him about my background in this industry, and without hesitation, he stood behind his work and offered full confidence in the job. That meant a lot coming from someone who knows how rare that is in this business.
And when I saw the finished product… I was speechless.
The quality, the finish, the attention to detail—truly remarkable. Israel and his team delivered what I didn’t think was possible at that price point. The vehicle looks brand new. His workmanship, integrity, and customer service are at a level I rarely see, even in high-end repair facilities. This wasn’t just a good paint job—it was a display of pride, skill, and heart.
I want to sincerely thank Israel and the entire Maaco team for the exceptional service they’ve provided. I don’t say this lightly: if I could give more than five stars, I would. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality repairs at a fair price. Whether you’re a regular customer or even someone in the collision business like me, you will not be disappointed.
Thank you again, Israel. Keep up the outstanding work—you’ve earned a customer for...
Read moreI used another Maaco location to get my car painted. But within three months the paint was bubbling on the roof. That location was closed when I called so I called around and had to call cooperate to get them to approve the repaint of my roof. I when I called this location they told me it would take 3 to 4 days to get it repainted. Well anyone with two parents and kids knows it's difficult to be without your second car for that long. I asked if they were open the week of Thanksgiving they assured me they were except on Thanksgiving itself. I dropped my car off the Friday before Thanksgiving week so it would be there and for Monday morning for them to work on. I confirmed again that the car would be ready on Friday after Thanksgiving. On Friday I called to see when I could pick up the car and was told it would not be done until Monday. They decided to take a half a day on Friday. Obviously I was upset but what can you do? The kids went back to school Monday so I ran around crazy dropping my husband off at work and the kids and school and back and forth etc. Called about when the car would be ready they told me not until Tuesday. I had a meeting I could not reschedule for Tuesday so we ended up having to pay over $50 for a rental so my husband could get to work that day. Thankfully the car was actually done on Tuesday. So while the work was good and they were very nice they kept delaying when the car would be done. They never called during the week to tell me there was going to be a delay only when I called to ask when I could pick up the car was I told what was going on. With the experience from the first location not doing that great of a job and the experience with the second location not being on time I wouldn't recommend using Maaco. Spend the extra money on a more...
Read moreI came to this Maaco shop because someone had ran into the back end of my car, towards the driver side. My car had noticeable damage where it was impacted and it was brand new, so I thought it would be a good idea to put my trust into Maaco to repair my 2021 Chevy Malibu. I wasn’t at fault for the car accident so Progressive was paying for everything. To make a long story short, I gave them my car and when I got it back the work was not impressive nor professional. There was a small dent on the door that had the damage on it. They gave me back the car with a dent on the door that they were supposed to work on. My car had white paint stains all over the hood, roof, side review mirrors, and grill. The paint job was mediocre. I was not impressed with it. Furthermore, they left white paint stains on the inside of the car as well. There were stains left on the steering wheel, door handle, and on the middle arm rest. The entire job they did seemed as if it was rushed. It seemed as if not much thought was put into taking care of my brand new 2021 Chevy Malibu. I called Eric at the shop and we arranged to bring the car in the following Monday but after careful thought and a little of my friends advice, I decided to not show up. I didn’t want to give them a second chance to mess up. I was not willing to let them touch my brand new car again. To think that people would treat you and your car in such a way all while carrying the name of Maaco is actually scary. This was my first experience as a Maaco customer, and it will definitely be my last. It was an extremely disappointing experience, because the car was actually brand new. I would not recommend these guys to my...
