Los Angeles Bowling Supply — Local services in Lawndale

There's not many bowling supply stores in LA and it's surrounding area's. On Tuesday 3-12-24 I came in to purchase my first ball and gear after talking with a staff a few days before. I walked in. There's two people behind the counter busy. There's 4 people waiting. Not one person behind the counter acknowledged me even though there was plenty of chit chattin going on from behind the counter with the other customers. Not one person said hi, nor asked what I was there for. I drove 22 miles to get there to leave empty handed and not one person behind that counter even said hi on top of I stood and waited through it all nearly 40 minutes. A gentlemen who was also waiting saw a stool and offered it to me. That was the only person who said anything to me. Just a regular customer waiting just like me. I will never return back to this establishment. I've never felt so unwelcomed in a business so much that I wasn't worth a good afternoon, i'll be with you shortly greeting, a what are you here for, or what brings you in today...I will travel 30 miles in the other direction just to not go back there ever again, nor would I recommend them. This shop is only good for chit chattin and standing for long...

Wow! Thank you guys sooo much! Guess what these guys did for me…. They saved me hundreds of dollars. I drove 20 miles to their shop ready to buy my first bowling ball, a bag, a pair of shoes and knowing me, anything else they would have recommended. How did they save me hundreds of dollars you ask. Well they ignored me when I came into their shop. Three of them working and not one of them could be bothered to stop the chit chat with the regulars to say “welcome in”, “be with you shortly” or any other type of greeting to let me know they valued my potential business. I see all the five star reviews and most seem to be from people who have been coming to this place for a long time. They seem to do just fine with people they know but they are even better at driving away new customers. Thanks again for saving me from spending my money at your shop.

If you are a new bowler and looking for guidance, based on my experience, I would recommend you go anywhere else. Unless being ignored...

I recently bought two new bowling balls and needed them drilled, so I looked around and stumbled upon this place. Even though there weren't many reviews, I decided to give it a try, and I'm incredibly glad I did. I met Jeff and Chris, who were not only extremely nice but also impressively knowledgeable. They spent quality time explaining the drilling process and even shared some insightful information about the physics involved.

Once the balls were drilled, they felt absolutely perfect and fit naturally in my hand. Encouraged by the excellent service, I decided to bring in my old Tropical Heat ball that I'd neglected for 15 years. Jeff and Chris put an incredible amount of work into restoring it, correcting previous drilling mistakes, and completely bringing it back to life. I'm honestly amazed at how fantastic it looks now.

This shop has quickly become my go-to place for bowling ball services, and I highly recommend it to anyone. Thanks again,...
