MY OFFICIAL REVIEW OF RANDY'S PUMPKIN PATCH:Randy's Pumpkin Patch was convenient to get to ( for hungry relatives it's across the street from Bojangles), there was convenient fenced in parking (with a parking attendant directing traffic for safety) and all the activities were spread out in such a way that no one was bumping into each other. They also had several port-a-potties for those who needed to use the restroom. When we drove up they had some scary inflatables outside the fence that we took the opportunity to take some pictures with. So from the very beginning my 5 year old was excited to get in. Even though there was no door charge (although in our opinion we felt there needed to be a door charge) we were greeted by staff as we entered in. Immediately upon entering in there is a ticket booth that is also surrounded by many Halloween wares for purchase. The ground was uneven and in some spots there was hay on the ground so wear comfortable shoes. They had shaded areas to sit down to escape the sun (trust me you will appreciate this). Every single staff we encountered was overly friendly. We even had a chance to talk to Randy himself who we saw everywhere talking to his customers. All the staff was easily recognizable in bright orange colored shirts with the Randy Pumpkin Patch logo and advertisement on it. They were enthusiastic, energetic, very helpful and ensured all the children had a good time. The prices were extremely reasonable for all the activities they had for the children including free admission. We bought the ticket package ($20 for 25 tickets) and most attractions were 2-3 tickets a piece. We also purchased the pony ride for $5. With that package we were able to participate in every attraction including multiple bouncy houses with several different levels of challenges, fenced in Bunny Petting Area (with a seating area for the parents to observe the children playing with the bunnies), Kiddie Train that circled the premises (even the parents joined their children on it or it had seat belts for those children who wanted to ride alone), Haunted Bouncy House, Face Painting, there was pumpkins in different colors everywhere to choose from and they even had a ice cream truck on-site to help cool off. There was also many photo op spots to create lasting memories. It is a great child friendly (2 years old-10 years old) attraction, safe, fun and somewhere to allow the children to enjoy for at least a...
Read moreFirst time at RandyâsâWe went on a Saturday evening and it was packed and parking was like 285 Traffic. Luckily, we got a spot inside their lot bc someone left. We got the 25 for $20 ticket package for our two kids to share. The kids had fun on the big slide and the bouncy houses but the bungee jump line wait time was ridiculous. The workers let the kids jump for at lest 15mins, I get it, let them have a their turn but when the line is long and you can clearly see parents with smaller kids getting impatient cut those mins down and get the line moving. Well, my kids never got a turn bc it was shut down with no Explaination. Moved along to the face painting, bunnies, and train but it was just too overcrowded. People knocking the pumpkins over, one kid kicked a pumpkin and it broke open. There is a rotten stench in the air from spoiled pumpkins. I know pumpkins like any other fresh produce goes bad but why wouldnât you clear the bad pumpkins?Bought funnel cakes and lemonade-now the lemonade is great but the funnel cakes not so much. They should cook them longer to produce that golden color. Ours were crispy on the edges but doughy in the middle. Think the cook was trying to produce quantity over quality. Itâs ok, folks love funnel cakes. Take your time and cook them until their right.
This place could be so much more if the owner would put a little more money into it. I grew up going to pumpkin patches and always had fun. Maybe add a hayride or move the location for more room to handle the crowds and improve parkingâ based off that crowd last night Randyâs is making $$.
Overall, this is really for the kids. They had fun with the few attractions they could get on & the employees were polite. Going back to finish the tickets, hopefully it wonât...
Read moreThis place is the only pumpkin patch near Lawrenceville that I have seen...and it's been my 3rd year coming to it...my kids have alot of fun there's alot to be entertained with ...however the prices in tickets have def gone up and that's cool cause I do know everything cost more now a days...but ALL of the employees are young teens 15 16 years old they have no patience and can be rude ...I had to talk to Mr Randy himself because in the rabbit petting zone a gurl who works there tought it was ok to yell at my son for moving a pumpkin when your at a pumpkin patch!!! All she had to do was say no to touch those particular ones and there would have been no problem but the way she handled it was UNACCEPTABLE she cursed under her breath yelled at my son and THREW a rabbit half way down in front of alot of customers ..and when I spoke to Mr Randy he did not make me feel better in anyway kept stating the young gurl was only doing her job ... Maybe some customer service training would make this place a 5 stars we spend our hard earned money supporting local businesses that when somebody has an incident it would feel nice to be understood and appreciated at the end we all make there...
