Like most malls, this one is becoming a ghost town. Limited selection of shops and stock within each. Useful for stores like Hot Topic, Gamestop, and Old Navy, although I've found that national promotions advertised for each are rarely stocked or available here. Chick-Fil-A and the movie theater seem to generate the most traffic. Mall is never crowded. Department stores are fading, typical of most these days. Pricier shops like Victoria's Secret, American Eagle Outfitters, and Buckle stand empty. Food court is small with limited selections. Customer service is non-existent in almost every store apart from Hot Topic, Chick-Fil-A, Bath & Body Works, Rue 21, and GameStop, all of which I recommend. Employees elsewhere are rude and/or aggressive, obsessed more with potential loss prevention than actual service. Claire's won't even allow shoppers under 18 inside without adult supervision - INSANITY! Sephora, Claire's, Journeys, and JCPenney are all abysmal. FYI Sephora: Red-cardholding VIB customers expect great service and samples if we request them. We hold red cards because we spend A LOT of money in Sephora. Where do you think your paychecks come from? Ulta down the street is more than happy to get our business. Want to give a special shout-out to the staff at this T-Mobile location: the rudest, laziest, least helpful folks ever. AVOID. They actually LAUGHED AT ME and my kids as we left in frustration one day; no worries though. They were reported & our simple issue was rectified inside 20 minutes at the Sheridan Road location. If this mall is still open in 3 years...
ย ย ย Read moreI came into this mall with my friends with the intention of buying some clothes. As we walked around going through the shops we were greeted by a security guard by the name of Martin told my friends and I to leave. When we proceeded to ask him why he just continued to tell us to leave. We continued to walk around the mall because we had a friend over the age of 21 and curfew says we can still walk around if we are accompanied by someone over 21. We told him that she was 21 and he denied us saying she was not old enough to qualify for curfew standards. The mall is supposed to be a place you can come and hangout with your friends, eat at the restaurants, and shop at the many shops in the mall, we understood curfew and follow the rules but it was not good enough for him. I dont know if I could ever come back to this mall because apparently I can't just enjoy my time at the mall and spend my money with friends. I suggest firing him and getting another security guard who isn't so rude to some teenagers wanting to come to the mall and hangout. No we were not gang affiliated we are all on a Track team and wore our team hoodies to the mall to represent because we had just gotten back from a meet. Coming back from said meet we thought it would be a good idea to come to the local Lawton Mall and have fun, and spend time with my friend's but apparently we couldnt do that. If you really think you can run a mall by throwing your customers out when they are following the rules to the mall you do NOT know how to keep a good mall. Thank you and...
ย ย ย Read moreThis "mall" seriously sucks. The theater was good, the Old Navy was good, Dilliard's was good, Sears was good, Chick-fil-A was good, Spencers was good, Bath and Bodyworks was good, the Putt-putt golf course was good, Gamestop was good, Great American Cookies was good, and many other great stores were good. The problem is that everyone is leaving and there are less and less stores now. The only reason to go to this mall is to support the small business food spots, which even then some of those places aren't very good. And a select few stores, which are destined to leave within a few years.
Perhaps one of the worst things about the mall is the neglect, and not only does that neglect cost the mall money but also the people visiting. Both arcades in the mall have broken machines and dispensers, and they will take your money and give you nothing, you can't get the quarters back. Don't bother asking any mall staff for help if the machines eat up your coins. The arcades are depressing and horribly neglected.
On top of other things, the ATMs and kiosks seldom work, everywhere you go it smells of sickening cleaning product, and there are no bathrooms except for in the hall of the abandoned movie theater.
It's a shame what those in charge of the mall have done to this place.
If you want shoes, which you're better off getting at Shoe Carnival which is about a mile or so away at a much better plaza, or if you want to eat nauseating food, then sure, maybe this mall is a good place for you, but if not? Avoid this mall...
