Boomarang Diner - Lawton — Restaurant in Lawton

This was the first time I’ve been here and it will probably be the last. I had breakfast and the food was okay; nothing to write home about. The tables were dirty and there was a lot of gnats and flies. When our waitress came to take our order, she didn’t know the menu so we had to help her through the questions: kind of toast, type of eggs, etc. Maybe she was new? Not sure. My husband and I both had to repeat what we said to her a few times because she would keep turning around and listening to the conversation of the table behind us, and then turn back to us and go “I’m sorry what?” I thought that was kind of disrespectful, especially for someone in customer service. Then it took like 35 minutes for our food to come out, which seemed like a while because there was only a couple of tables of guests in there and usually breakfast food is pretty quick. She didn’t bring us silverware at first so she went to go get it and we sat there for a few minutes just looking at our food waiting for her to come back. I gave a bonus star because the food wasn’t bad. It wasn’t amazing to where I’d be back, but it was good. Then my husband and I sat there for a few minutes not really sure how to pay because our waitress never came back to tell us our check was up at the register. So we just went up there to pay. Maybe staff has changed since we didn't have any issues with the waitresses being attentive to us. I don't have any complaints where service is so much an issue, and I also didn't have an issue with the taste of the burger or fries. I have an issue with the cleanliness of the place as we had sticky stuff all over the menus, and when I was brought a container of milk for my lukewarm coffee (btw only half and half for coffee, no creamer--blah!), the milk had a speck of something black in it clearly visible on the top of the milk before I even opened the container. Yuck! I also have an issue with the paper thin meat patties. Seriously, we're talking as thin as a pickle and ridiculously wide so it's halfway hanging off the bun. They did put two patties on the burger which didn't make sense to me since they were so thinly made, but it was the fact that the patties were made so wide they were hanging halfway off the bun that annoyed me the most. My boyfriend ordered breakfast and had no issues with the pancakes, eggs, or bacon. Nothing special about this place though just your average burger joint. Went in there and sat down, it was my son (his birthday) my fiance and myself. First thing I noticed was the two workers there who instantly had a look of disgust and were talking back and forth with each other and looking directly at me and my family. They knew i knew they were discussing us at the table. When she came over my child ordered a chili cheeseburger, she cut him off to say they were out of chili. Ok!! So he ordered a bacon ranch cheeseburger instead. I placed my order and so did my fiance. I asked for a large Pepsi and small Dr.Pepper. She then states they were out of DP so i asked for large pepsi and a small one. She brought two small drinks out which the cups were covered in spilt pepsi and dripping. By the time she went to walk off she seen i was cleaning off the cups. As my family i sat there waiting for the food, all i could hear was rap music and someone i presume was the cook back there rapping to the song as the phone rang non stop. Nobody answered it, there were enough people to do so. Got home and went to eat and the food was just thrown together and my fried pickles were dry and overcooked. Not what i expected for almost 50 bucks...
