The tasting room on the downtown Le Claire strip is unmatched. Small town, almost Euro-style vibe with the outside seating and fireplace, a stones throw away from numerous amazing local businesses and restaurants, and a place to escape to ones self to read a book or listen to the music playing in the town streets for a moment to enjoy the simplest aspects of life. The entire team is phenomenonal, but make sure you have Heidi take care of you during the week. I don't write many reviews of the wineries we have visited but this place is special and deserves all the attention I can bring to it. The staff is a delight and engaging. The wines are rememberable if that is a word and if it were warm enough the patio outside would be a great place to enjoy a glass or bottle. Pursuit of Happiness our new favorite. We have returned since this original posting and has remained the fabulous place it was then. My husband and I went to Wide River Winery last Saturday, and was so impressed! The variety of wines was outstanding! Such a beautiful, quaint little winery. What we loved the most though that from the moment we stepped foot inside, we were greeted with friendly employees. Emma took care of us, giving us her wealth of knowledge about the different wines.
