After two visits, I think I've decided that it's time to fairly give this place a review. My "this article is too long, I don't want to read that" version:
You get what you pay for
For the full version, here we go. Starting with the aesthetics, this place both feels like it's straight out of the 20th century, but with modern upgrades, such as multiple flat-screen TVs. The look accommodates both to an older, and a more modern audience.
The price is a fair bit higher than I was willing to pay at first, charging $24 a cut for an adult. That almost made me turn around, but I'm glad I didn't in hindsight. And when you think about it, it's what, $10 dollars more you spend every 30+ days? But boy, you get that $10 worth of quality. They know their work very well, and will put product in your hair, even wash and shampoo it, and the quality of the cut has been significantly higher both times I've been, with them using hot towels and even a straightrazor to finish off the back of my neckline. I've yet to get a face shave or a facial, but I'm intentionally growing out my fuzz so that I find an excuse to get a full straightrazor shave here.
Also they give you a free beer. So that's a plus. Can't beat free beer.
So, in all, I've been converted. I used to solely go to wherever was cheapest, but now I've experienced what a true, quality cut is like, and I can't make myself go back to those other guys. Go ahead and give it a try: Odds are you...
Read moreEdit: To respond to the response from the owner. Yes, I did explain the full story. I have pictures and there is not one person (parent or otherwise) who would be satisfied with the haircut. Sure, you offered to have someone else cut it after but I didn't want to risk it. As far as the refund, I called to discuss my concerns and asked for a refund. The person that answered said they couldn't do that and all I could do was leave a review. So, that's exactly what I did. I could have received a refund and gone about my business. Sorry you didn't like it but I didn't like the service.
My son just had his hair cut by Linda. He has the teenager shaggy look and wanted it all evenly trimmed and out of his eyes. She literally gave him a Lloyd Christmas haircut. Like straight short across his forehead and nothing cut in the back. We went somewhere else to have it fixed and the only way was to make it short. We all know how important hair is to teenage boys and this woman ruined it for him. I shouldn't have because now they won't refund me. We've been here before and it's mostly OK but definitely won't...

Where i come from, you take care of your customers first. It would have taken her 10 minutes to cut my sons hair and she could have taken her meal break after. I can't tell you how many times I've worked through my lunch or dinner breaks because the job wasn't at a good stopping point...
No customers equals no tips.. And i've tipped 30% or more to her in the past. Guess that wasn't good enough.
This is my first bad experience there.
With an average of $35 +tip per haircut, i guess she has enough money to loose a customer. Well, i hope she does. Because...
